Hey now
Hey, I’m a guy that watches a lot of anime, and I really like this site because it allows me to keep track of it all, what a great thing it is lol. You may see me in discussion threads of seasonal anime spanning from Fall 2020 to whenever you’re reading this, with the occasional older anime I type up posts for. I write posts for fun and also to have my thoughts written down, but if you happen upon one of them and give it a read, it’s very much appreciated, and don’t be shy to reply to them because I love interacting with folks!
I generally rate a lot of anime kinda highly, I’ve only given a handful of low scores ranging 6 or below because I typically watch things I think I’ll like, and I usually end up liking them lol. My favorite genres of anime are RomComs and SoLs, and I also have a soft spot for Harems due to my upbringing with anime, a big example being “To Love-Ru” which was pretty much what got me into anime, so if you ever see me gushing over a harem series that otherwise is getting trashed on, this is why lol. But I’ve expanded my tastes a lot over the years so I can watch and enjoy most genres, and there’s a good amount of Isekais and Shonens I’ve found myself loving, so yeah I like a lot of different anime.
You might also catch me making music references in my forum posts, especially jam bands, I enjoy trying to find ways to squeeze them in somewhere, any excuse to express my love for them lol.
Also finally decided to plug this after so long, here’s my YouTube channel which atm has nothing to do with anime and is mostly a gaming channel: https://youtube.com/@DirtsteveGAME

I definitely agree about taking it at your own pace too. I slowed down a lot recently because I was studying for my board exam, but I passed!! 🎉 So now I'm finally getting back to finishing my Summer 2026 shows without having studying hanging over me. 😭
The eternal problem now is exactly what you said though—every season ends with another handful of shows I missed getting thrown onto the PTW list. 😂
Haha there's a first time for everything :P . Totally agreed, these sports/hobby anime for sure give you a peak into a world you never really gave much thought before. You see how the characters get passionate about X sport/hobby, how they compete, their highs and lows etc.
I don't think movies had this effect on me but when it comes to anime they more often than not nail it and you get hooked in whatever activity X anime focuses on.
Sweet! I'm excited about Clevatess S2 then, once it stops airing I'll surely binge it.
As for Nippon Sangoku it was a great watch, it definitely worthy of checking and if you ever end up trying it, let me know your thoughts on it :D. Witch Hat Atelier was great, it's one of those anime that have an interesting story/characters and the S tier animation is the icing on the cake.
I saw you're currently watching Black Torch man that takes me back. I read the manga a few years ago and I remember how a lot of Western fans were into it but in Japan the manga got axed due to low popularity & bad sales and 8 years after the manga cancellation it has an anime airing😭
I'm really glad I caught up with Re in time to experience this arc weekly too! The cliffhangers definitely hit differently when you can't immediately jump to the next episode. 😭 I can see why Arc 6 had such a reputation beforehand.
And I actually finally finished all my Spring 2026 shows, so I'm officially catching up on Summer now! 🎉 I'm definitely taking it at my own pace though—like you said, the shows aren't going anywhere. 😂

It's just very fiery... and epic if you want a quick description. Also a very old school feeling of an old school shonen. Check OP its really good

ED too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miLM7VnR08o
I know if I don't mention it, you would never find it, which is a shame, given how good this anime is. Which I cant say for many others, I doubt you need me for that. My hope is that you watch it and recommend it to others, so its a little more popular :D cause it really deserves it.
no problem. I am surprised you are replying to begin with :O. I mean it takes a lot of time, isn't it? A lot of people that haven't replied and then stopped talking to me. Me personally, I just like talking about anime.
Btw, I have some screenshots regarding SK that I am gonna post at the end lol
Yeah exactly, that SK2 adaptation, like who is it for? anime only fans don't like it (except for you), at least I saw some threads of people complaining, so those anime original episodes didn't really hit. And I am telling you, not a single novel fan is gonna be happy. And as far as I know adaptations are made for people interested in the novel, and mostly its about the current readers. But it might be different for something that ended, and pretty sure SK ended already. A lot of adaptations that fall into that category are usually butchered. LIKE KATEGURI NO CIRCUS. TO THIS DAY THIS IS THE WORST ADAPTATION EVER!!!!!! phew, got a bit emotional there, but I swear, don't watch that crap anime. Manga is a masterpiece, but an old manga, and it got the worst, like I'm not kidding, the worst adaptation. Luckily I didn't watch that crap except for a few episodes, I just read how much they adapted and my jap dropped. They really tried to adapt as much as possible in 50 episodes. I'm still shocked it's 50 episodes. I didn't really like visuals either. Also why did remind myself of it... my blood is actually boiling now. It's just really sad for me, because manga is really a masterpiece.
Anyway I just wanted to say that adaptations for a finished book are usually worse for some reason. Or maybe it's just my selected memory. Actually SK2 is worse. Like I said, while I won't forgive, I can understand why adaptatiosn try to rush things. But SK2 had all the time in the world with those 5 anime original, and then still decided to rush, like I said full volume in 1 episode. I really have never seen anything worse.
This makes you appreciate Ishura even more. Spider also had a good adaptation, but I read novel after anime, so I didnt do a good comparison like I do when I read first. But as I was reading, I could remember many things being in the anime. HEllmode also another example of a great adaptation, despite them skipping some interesting stuff, its nothing critical. If anything, anime was more interesting to me, something I almost never say. So yeah, most of the time its a disappointment.
Delete comment on reddit, no one deletes comments on mal.
Yeah, recently I saw a comment starting with "As an anime only, my theory is..." and I stopped reading further.
Dunno, even if I was anime only I'd hated it. It's like "oh, this could've been so much better". Don't know if you watched game of thrones, but basically it went to shit after season 4 when they stopped following books, because they run out of content and started inventing shit themselves. I, as a viewer who didn't read the books, could see the deterioation in quality, of course I am disappointed, "this could've been so much better". But in my head, I don't take the events that happened after season 4 too seriously, since they didnt happen in the books. So I am treating it as a fanfiction story, a bad one at that.
So I don't agree with you, if you eat everything they give you and not be mad, they'd keep feeding you shit and not try to be better. And yeah, I know they give no hoots for my opinion, I can't influence them in any way, but that's still my way of rebelling against them.
"And that is unfortunate about Chiyome, they probably just wanted to give some fanservice with her but yeah not a fan of altering characters like that" at least you understand that...
One good thing is that I finished rereading 4,5,6 of SK. Last time I stopped in the middle of 8, and there are 10 in total. 7,8,9,10. Wanna finish it. And I am super curious about what happens in 9,10 and why did it stop there. It was fun rereading and traveling through the same adventure as I did 4 years ago. It was exactly 4 years ago in august that I read vol 5,6. I moved out to a different place since then, and I associate Sk with a different apartment... it's always weird for me, when I change locations and revisit an anime or a book, don't know why.
Well, thanks for believing that I was alive and well :P Yeah, I still feel sad about him leaving so abruptly, I feel like if I at least could say goodbye, it wouldnt hurt this bad. Well, let's not delve into sad things.
You'll never stop watching anime? that's good to know lol. So I'll assume if you are absent for long enough that its rip.
I never mentioned Benriya Saitou? I guess I didn't, weird... maybe I confused you with someone else.
"yeah your idea about Volume 4 being three episodes, try one or two lol, of course you know that now" lol.
They are only adapting vol 5, not further. I swear, SK is such a weird story. It gets interesting in vol5 and onwards, who does this? Vol 1 was one of my least liked ones, most people would just stop after that. And then manga is very different from novel, like its not a faithful adaptation, and anime is different from both of them. Like how is it possible lol.
Politics is decent? They skipped like 80% politics scenes lol. Speaking of which that meeting between Yuliana and Sect. Like what was that? I still can't let it go... She visited him, while suspecting he was behind her assassiantion, and even asked if he had anything to do with it(I think it was in the anime) and she went there without guards? like its peak anime logic. Like how hard was it to show 2 guards accompanying her, you dont need to give them lines or anything. In novel there is of course more, that her sister, a queen in another place(political marriage) lended her some people, then elves lended her some people, and it summed to around 1000. And the village chief (ariane's dad) was guarding her, so good luck trying to do anything to her while he is there. He should be much stronger than even Ariane.
Not that I think about it, SK novel, satisfies me in a way that everything makes sense, everything is logical and thought through. Can't really think of plot holes as well. Also, unlike many others, it actually feels like reading an adventure, Arc going on many adventurs, and locations actually change. Like in vol 5, that anime is on right now, they moved to southern continent. Him being a skeleton was not what made SK what it is imo. Like if he was human or whatever, it wouldnt make it worse. But ofc, him being a skeleton and the plot surrounding it, how he drinks spring water to give himself temporary flesh makes it better.
I suggest reading it yourself, but I know you aren't into reading.
Yeah, I noticed you watching Hell mode. Was it because of me? You didn't like production? I honestly didnt see anything wrong with it. Yeah, it goes downhill, but depends on what your treshhold of acceptence is lol. To me, this is terrible, I already explained why, no need to repeat that. Did you like Cecil btw? in the first season? moments with her were my favorite. I was really surprised when I jumped into the novel, expecting more, and not getting much in terms of her reactions and such. I wish she had more interactions, reactions. And its not because she is a minor character. Kurena doesnt get much attention either, no character does lol. Light novels are better than regular western novels because of characters and their reactions/expressions, reading all that, that's what makes it fun. But when its just all summary from Allan's POV and we seldom get interactions with the other characters and their reactions, it doesnt make it as fun. So yeah, that's my biggest pet peeve, not even content. But yeah, the content in vol 3 and how rushed it is from a NOVEL perspective, mind you. And then vol4 with that stupid war and the fact MC faces NO CHALLENGE, it's like a breeze for him. Like why the hell is it called hellmode when its not hellmode anymore??????????? Sorry, got all emotional again, and here I said there is no need to mention it again.
Maybe I'll check out your comments and reply, but I kinda wish you just mentioned stuff you liked here. Cause your episodes replies are structured as a summary, which is hard to reply to and gauge at what you liked/disliked.
"I read a little bit into the details you wrote but I decided to stop a little bit" ok, but don't forget to reply to that, I wanna know if you think the same way. But in general, I'm happy you picked it up
Not sure why Rem is hated, haven't seen that. But in general, I'm glad she's been sleeping for the past 3 seasons, it's better without her. It feels like her whole personality became "gotta be useful to Subaru and support him". That's just my opinion, ofcourse, but its just boring. Also, whats the point of her when he loves Emilia. Kinda cruel to keep her around when he won't choose her. Also, I hope re:zero won't end up in a harem, it works for some stories, but I really don't want Emilia share Subaru with anyone.
Grail of Eris is the best anime of the winter for me, also because I liked the novel. If I just watched anime, it'd be behind Kaya for me. Or hell mode, hell mode might have been number one. There is also medalist 2, nvm that would've been number 1. I don't know why I thought medalist 2 aired in fall 2025.
Ngl, I am kinda tired of Liar game already, losing interest. You are rewatching Kaya? good to know.
"Oh the circus one from this summer, I remember seeing that one and being tempted to pick it up, glad to hear you like it." cause it hit me in the feels thanks to karakuri circus. Those 2 are the only circus stories that I know of. And it gave me the feeling of family, cause circus is like a family.
blind one? https://myanimelist.net/anime/62936/Toumei_na_Yoru_ni_Kakeru_Kimi_to_Me_ni_Mienai_Koi_wo_Shita this you mean? oh its great. It apparently only has 2 volumes, UNTRANSLATED, I even considered ordering japanese versions from amazon for the time when I am good enough at japanese to read it raw... But when will that happen exactly? and even if I get comfortable enough reading raw, I still would have words I dont know. And unlike in english or other languages for that matter, when you dont know what something means, you can at least read it, and search in electronic dictionary. But if you can't read how a certain kanji is pronounced, you are lost.
And also, in my experience, stories like that are very poetic? if that's the right word, but basically reading gets a bit complicated, as in noone talks like that in real life. But its not conversations, its descriptions and such. Anyway I am certain I'd have a lot of problems understanding japanese poetry and complicated words.
Btw check the amount of comments https://myanimelist.net/anime/62936/Toumei_na_Yoru_ni_Kakeru_Kimi_to_Me_ni_Mienai_Koi_wo_Shita/forum
don't read them of course, I mean look how active the discussiosn are. Meanwhile my favrorite classroom of black cat, has like 20 comments at most LOL. its worse than being hated, being ignored :((( And it doesnt deserve it. But yeah KakeKoi (is apparently a short name) is very good and it's gonna have an ending for sure (only 2 volumes). No idea what's gonna happen, I assume not many know, since novel is untranslated.
For kaiju girl... I'm losing interest with it, cause of how absurd it is. But many people like it, it's not a bad watch or anything...
"Scum of the Brave still on your mind huh lol, tough." it wasn't, until you reminded me, haha.
"Wait people compare Sentenced to Re:Zero?" yes, the shorttuber who was making tons of videos on re:zero, was making those comparisions, and how it's beeing slept on and many things really. It was after just 1 episode aired. I only saw titles and thumbnails though.
Ngl, I dont know how you do it, but you always end up skipping 5-8 animes that are very good and that I know you'll like, and then you watch stuff like petal and last boss queen >_>.
I guess this season has a lot of sequels, and if you only pick a certain amount a season, you can't pick up many new ones.
But look at this
Look at how much you are missing out on. Man, one is better than the other. The Kimi ga shindu made Koi wo Shitai is something else... Witch in mongolia is for sure great, but I'm not a big fan of historic. But it feels like Apothecary, like she walks around solving mysteries, kinda, almost. I might end up giving it a 9 at the end. It has a good score, so I don't think I'm overselling it or anything, if anything I'm probably underselling it. Dunno, if something is really good, you just leave it at that, no more explanations are needed. This is not really my cup of tea like apothecary, but I appreciate when something is good.
Tefuda ga oome no Victoria is honestly one of the best "super woman" centered stories I've seen. I guess that's how I'm gonna call those types of stories, about women who can literally everything, like that last boss vilainess and many others. But its like 1000x times better, which isnt saying much, cause it also isn't the best. But at least its pretty good and everything makes sense lol. Let's just leave it at number 1 in that genre for now, until I either remember or encounter something better than it (in that genre).
Girls playing fighting games is literally anime of the season if danko-chan wasn't airing. It gives off almost the same kind of feelings and emotions as rock lady lol. And you know just how good rock lady was. But they are obviously different, first of all, its surprisingly very technical when it comes to fightning games, I was lost multiple times lol. I feel like if you never played them, it'd be very hard to watch lol. But if you have experience with street fighter especially, it'd be your favorite lol. Also it goes heavy into tournaments, which is also something I rarely see in japanese media. Street fighter has a good competitive scene and solid tournaments, so you can tell it was written by someone who either competed or is a big fan of the competitive scene, which is a huge plus because he/she honestly writes it very well. I don't remember such a good tournament anime lol. I'm very impressed. Another great thing about this is that it didn't spend a lot of time on the whole "ladies cant play fighting games" story point, since ep 3 or so, we were in full fighting mode. Which is great, cause that gets old. While rock lady spent a lot more time on that, on how unaceptable it is for ladies to play rock.
So yeah, while at first I thought they are both very similar, but with many differences, but they are both equally as good. Now I think the fighting ladies are way ahead of rock lady. Which is saying a lot cause rock lady is one of my favorites from last year, I gave it a 9 iirc. So yeah, that anime surprised me the most by how good it is, and danko-chan too.
Btw, don't get baited by Girls love tag. I haven't seen anything of that sort. This is by the very definition an obvious yuri bait, the most obvious one at that. i don't know if manga is tagged that and they'd be straight up making out later on, IDC, there is nothing of anything so far. Man, I'm gonna rant a lot if I start, but I can't help it. Yuri baits really annoy me, and people who see yuri everywhere. Why cant people accept, that some things are just not yuri, some things are yuri and some are not. You can ship them, no one stops you, but dont make your dreams someone elses reality please. I imagine it's also annoying for those who look for yuri, see the tag and then feel annoyed when there is no yuri.
"can't be realistic all the time, so I'm fine with a little bit of wish fulfillment." maybe you are right, wish fullfilment stories are popular after all.
Everyone's been praising dorohedoro recently too. Season 2 really hyped it up for people, season 1 was mostly introductory, and season2 is where shit happened. I actually never heard of it before season2. But I don't really check any public discussions or anything, except for anime reddit. So yeah, maybe I shouldnt say anything then lol.... Oh right, I forgot, I actually had it in ptw somehow. I must have added it like all the way back when it aired, which is like 2022 iirc? or maybe even earlier, anyway I have no recollection whatsoever of adding it to ptw.
this wine one https://myanimelist.net/anime/62981/Kami_no_Shizuku actually isnt that bad lol. Story is actually not bad, but I literally cant understand anything when they start talking about wine, how they see a different world or whatever. It definitely is good enough, apparently its adaptation of an old manga, makes sense. No one in their right mind would make an anime original about wine. I mean it won't be popular.
Please, by no means watch the other villainess. Man, I am feeling the secondhand pain at the thought of you watching it, as if I am gonna be watching it again. This was such a painful experience, at least petals had 2 fine episodes where I had hope. With that one, from the first 5 minutes, I knew it's all doomed and there is no hope. Thinking about it makes shakes me guts inside.
You didnt find Yowayowa repetitive? It felt like every episode was the same when it came to ecchi.
Exactly, without Nao it wouldn't be as fun, and having Akiyama save her, like you say, is interesting. We have Akiyama MC already, its called classroom of the elite lol. But Akiyama at least has a heart. Also Tomodachi game is kinda if Akiyama was the MC. Man Tomodachi game is great, I gotta reread it. I remember the long ass 50 pages chapters haha, despite reading for the whole night, I only finished 30 or something haha. Yeah, I overslept everything and was sleep deprived, but I was too excited to keep reading. Sorry for mentioning it again, Psychological genre just reminds me of it.
"He's awesome, I've liked him from the start, he's gotten even better recently when he's started showing some flaws too" true true, I agree, vulnerability makes a character more interesting.
Yeah, Yokoya was polar opposites to Nao, which made it very interesting, like whose approach wins. Not sure if you watched pokemon, but in diamond and pearl there was this rival Paul, whose training techniques was polar opposites to Ash, main character. And then it was fun watching them battle each oher out to determine whose approach is better. Many say it was the best pokemon season primarily because of that. So yeah, I really like when clash of ideologies happens in the story.
Liar game is very good for for binging, but reading comments weekly is also fun. Hard to say.
"I can say I've been told to watch Witch Hat by several people now lol." not me, I really don't understand why its as popular as it is, to me its nothing special. To me, there are 2 good things about it, that I admit are good. Very high production value, and unique magic approach and good world. But the story is very lacking, or if its good enough, then I've seen way better. Very overrated imo. Every episode I was like, "surely I'll see why its good in this episode"
"Regarding Vending Machine, I don't know hot it got a Season 3 either but I'm not complaining lol" good mystery to solve.
"Yeah LN and WN differences can be head scratching, I'm getting a headache just thinking about reading two versions of the same story like you did lol. I'm sure it was cool finding the little differences yourself tho." yeah, my head hurts. Wait, I actually read 6 volumes then, since I was reading LN and Wn at the same time. I'm talking about SK. Whatever, who even cares >_> what am I doing with my life, why am I reading 2 versions -_-
Nice, as a fellow Yuna fan, I approve. No but seriously, Inori was a good character, but I don't like her nearly as much as Yuna, her struggles hit close to home and she is good at skating. And Manaka... I just love her performance and personality. But whats weird is how quickly I fell in love with them.
Speaking of songs, I never listened to EDs outside the anime, but OPs are really good, both of them. Back when I was really really into Medalist, I'd listen and watch them every day and get hyped as a result, especially that Yuna jump in the OP. Man, Medalist was goated, good thing you watched it.
Aaaaah, you reminded me that Kusunoki is getting adaptation, too bad you can't understand my hype... I really liked it. But if I look at it objectively, its not like its some groundbreaking never seen on TV story, I just think its done well and characters, especially characters are very good. Too bad we only have like 3. While there are some supporting characters, I swear, you'll only remember 3. Also, its easy to root for characters, and the other reason for my love, it was just very easy for me to connect to for some reason, like instant lock in. I really don't know why, even if it's been a week of not reading it. I don't really want to overhype it, like I'm praising it as the best thing ever, and then you watch it and act like its nothing special.
One other thing I like about it, is that it makes sense why characters who clearly like each other don't just get together, like if you know their past, you'll know exactly why.
I don't think it's gonna be super popular or anything, would be even less popular than that "second prettiest girl became my friend" anime. Basically I'm saying its gonna be underlooked. I really hope to be proven wrong.
Now that I think about it, I have no idea why some things are popular and some are not. Maybe production? advertisement? No clue. For example last season https://myanimelist.net/anime/61425/Ponkotsu_Fuuki_Iin_to_Skirt-take_ga_Futekisetsu_na_JK_no_Hanashi was the best romcom of the season 100% but it only has 67k members. 7.61 score is good enough I guess. Its miles better than second prettiest girl https://myanimelist.net/anime/56734/Class_de_2-banme_ni_Kawaii_Onnanoko_to_Tomodachi_ni_Natta. But it has 100k less members and lower score. What's more, one is light novel adaptation and the other is manga. If anything I assume manga adaptation should be more popular, like more people would read manga than light novel. I know second prettiest has a popular manga as well, but still.
Also please, don't even get me started on ishura, this message would double in size lol.
Time for some funny SK comments I read.
first, check out the afterword, not sure if you appreciate this as much as I do, but I always think about what he said about the manga and how its easier to recommend than a novel
This one just cracks me up, just summarize the last 5 volumes for me lmao
Here, the joke is that in vol 5, the one that anime is adapting, The only reason he went south to Tajento is because he went to one elf city for tomatoes and accidentally found out about chillis, but the tiger clan that delivers chillis have suddenly stopped showing up and thus the surplus of chilis dwindled, hence the remaining chilis are expensive. So Arc does the most Arc thing ever, and decides to go find that clan so he can buy from them directly. The wildest thing Arc has done lol.
This one was just funny
peperoni and parmesan lmao
Ponta's related comments are always funny
Hope it made you smile at least a little. Dunno, it just cracks me up.
And don't worry, **Re:Zero** has absolutely been living up to the Arc 6 hype for me so far. 😭 I'm caught up with it now, so it's one of the few I'm actually following as it airs.
I'm glad to hear **GitS** is still delivering too! I'm still finishing my Spring shows before diving fully into Summer, so your seasonal opinions are genuinely helping me decide what to prioritize. 😂
Lmao @'I’m not gonna start watching ice skating now or anything but it definitely gave me an appreciation got it', alright man I get it - you're a larper jk :P. I know what you mean, I've watched anime that focused on skateboarding, rock climbing, high school archery club etc etc which after you finish them I am not saying you will start these hobbies but the anime themselves gave you an appreciation about the hobby/craft.
So true, Frieren S2 was great but it felt so short 😭. Yeah Clevatess S2 is being aired atm (just saw that you're watching it and rated it as 8/10 awesome!). A few other great anime that I definitely recommend you are Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun (dude you've to watch it) and Witch Hat Atelier which was what? Spring's most popular anime? lol but the story & characters were great and the animation was top tier!
Speaking of which, I don't post usually, but I posted once on the 1st episode, calling how its anime original and comparing it to novel, and my comment got deleted lmao. They really really hate anyone making source comparison. But what am I supposed to say then? comment on something that shouldnt exist? I remember back when I was commenting on ishura, I'd frame as me guessing, seeing something, while I mentioned stuff that was in the novel but not in anime lol. Speaking of which, since I read liar game further I know, during the contraband game there were so many "I think this is what's happening/gonna happen" that's straight up a spoiler lol. And all upvoted too. That reminds me, there is a huge tomodachi game spoiler that someone spoiled with the "I bet that person is a traitor" and of course you can only say that if you read further, then of course it'd be obvious to you. To this day, I still hate this guy for spoiling in such a way lol.
But honestly I dont know how you can be enjoying this, knowing these scenes shouldnt have happened. This adaptation is so bad that I don't know what other bad adaptation I can compare it to. I think classroom of the elite maybe? back during season 1, they took lines of one character and gave it to the main girl, when that character was super important, also reducing her appearance in the show. But nothing is as bad as SK. Like the kiss scene that you liked didnt even happen, and Arianne wouldnt do it lol, just like Chiyome would never get embarassed over it. She is as stoic as it goes, if anything what happened is that Chiyome suggested that they mouth feed him hot spring water, cause its more effective and when Ariane got embarassed, she suggested doing it herself, with no ulterior motives in mind. I mean its just character assassination what happened in the anime.
So many facts were changed as well, I mean they also covered whole volume in 1 episode, how is that even possible lol.
Also, I probably won't shut up about this adaptation for as long as we talk lol. While I used to be frustrated, at this point I am actually astonished by how bad it is, even if I tried, I wouldnt be able to adapt something this bad.
