In The Shawshank Redemption, Andy definitely said something along the lines of "Remember, Red, anime ship girls are a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." or something like that.
Over five years have passed since the first season aired, and I personally never believed it would actually get a sequel. Hell, I am absolutely astounded that Azur Lane even survived this long in the first place. I suppose that is just the raw, unadulterated power of cramming sexy ship girls into your work and being completely unafraid to flaunt them.
While the shock is real, the sheer manic joy I
...
feel is immeasurable, Anime of this glorious caliber acts as a blinding beacon, drawing in degenerate moths like myself because it delivers the absolute greatest treasure on this planet. FANSERVICE.
Dare I say we have an abundance of it, When you are blessed with Javelin's divine armpits and thighs, Ayanami's glorious midriff, Z's incredibly naizuri capable chest and squeezable lil bottom cheeks, plus Laffey's silky smooth voice and puffy... thing, the mind just shatters, With all these overwhelmingly alluring displays of pure ship girl sexiness, the question completely stops being "what do you have" and instead becomes "what don't you have?" To which Azur Lane aggressively screams back "none!"
Overall, this is an absolute masterclass of a gacha game anime. I desperately wish every single other adaptation of this caliber would just copy this exact formula
10/10. I am violently and uncontrollably sobbing in almost every single scene
