Vandread (Anime) add
For an anime that’s over 25 years old, Vandread is such a hidden gem that I’m genuinely surprised no one talks about it anymore! This show blends mecha, space adventure, romance, sci-fi, and comedy into one addictive adventure. It’s hilarious thanks to the cast and their antics, thrilling because of the epic mecha battles and transformations, and surprisingly deep with themes of personal growth, identity, and how men and women need each other to survive, no matter the world they’re thrown into.

Firstly, the setting hooked me instantly. Humanity has left Earth and colonised other planets, but over time, men and women split and grew to ...

Preliminary (3/12 eps)
There’s just something undeniably cool about watching an overpowered assassin take control of his own destiny, and “My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s” delivers that thrill right out of the gate. Rather than another loud or arrogant power-fantasy lead, the story follows Akira Oda, a calm and calculating protagonist whose strength comes from precision and cool-ass magic, making him the prefect assassin in this fantasy world setting.

What makes Akira stand out as our MC isn’t just his overwhelming power, it’s how he carries himself. Obviously there is a strong drive of revenge like we often see in similar shows. Yet, instead ...

Preliminary (3/12 eps)
In a season full of banished party members and overpowered MCs in fantasy settings, “The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest” feels like the hidden gem, well for me at least. It starts off like many shows we’ve seen before, with our MC Alec getting unfairly kicked out of the royal court, but just when it seems like we’re headed down another predictable route, his old party and academy friend Yorha appears. From there, Alec reunites with his close friends and rejoins the strong adventuring party he once trained and fought alongside, and that’s where the story really starts to shine. It’s genuinely ...

Gachiakuta (Anime) add
Preliminary (13/24 eps)
Halfway through its first season, Gachiakuta has already proven itself to be one of the most exciting and refreshing new shonen anime in years. Kei Urana gives us a masterpiece that dives headfirst into a grimy, chaotic world where the line between “trash” and “treasure” is blurred.

Visually, this show is a knockout. The art style is gritty, bold, and unapologetically unique, a rare thing in today’s animation, where so many shows tend to blend together visually. Every frame feels alive with texture and personality, fusing graffiti-inspired aesthetics with fluid animation and kinetic fight choreography. The result is a world that feels both filthy and beautiful, ...

This show will tickle that itch in your brain for an OP MC not knowing his own strength but being trained by one of the greatest heroes to live and then joining a nice and family-like party that respects the MC and his power, after being kicked out of the hero's party because of the hero thinking the MC was usless when in actual fact the MC was the only thing making the hero's party work well kinda itch.

I’ll admit, at first I thought this was going to be another cookie-cutter “MC gets kicked out but proves everyone wrong” story. And in many ways, it ...

Mixed Feelings
Koujo Denka no Kateikyoushi sets itself apart early on with an interesting premise: tutoring a girl with no magic (Tina) and helping her learn to use it. Watching Allen, our MC, tackle this challenge is both engaging and fun, as it mixes teaching moments with the typical magical academy setting. The way he carefully handles Tina’s struggles and growth gives the story a strong foundation and makes the early episodes stand out.

That said, it does eventually fall into familiar territory. Allen quickly reveals himself to be your standard overpowered protagonist with an answer to every problem. While this can feel generic, the show does retain ...

At first glance, A-Rank Party wo Ridatsu shita Ore wa… looks like your typical “MC gets kicked out of a top party” setup, and I honestly thought it was going to be another sloppy anime with an overpowered main character and a predictable harem. But I couldn’t have been more wrong. As the episodes go on, it transforms into something much more engaging, a hidden gem that doesn’t seem to be getting as much attention as it deserves. Hopefully, over the years, more people will discover it because this was a genuinely good watch.

What makes it stand out is the dynamic between Yuke and Clover. ...

Tsuyokute New Saga does a solid job of telling a familiar “redo the past to save the future” story. We’ve seen the time-rewind setup before, but here it’s handled with decent consistency, and Kyle (the MC) actually makes logical, level-headed decisions instead of running in blindly based off his past experiences, battles and life in his desolate future where he wins but at what cost with everything he fought for is gone... :{

I’d say it’s a must-watch if you enjoy JRPG-inspired worlds, Demon Lord conflicts, and stories where the OP hero gets a second chance to rewrite fate and even if you don’t normally ...

Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru is an enjoyable and exciting watch as this anime is an essential Power Rangers iseaki. I say it's a must-watch if you grew up watching shows like Power Rangers, Super Sentai and Kamen Rider and even if you didn't it never hurt to give something a try, right?

The anime really likes to poke fun at the classic Super Sentai and Tokusatsu tropes and standards through the overuse of onomatopoeia whenever there is any chance. By all means, this does not ever get boring and instead adds to the charm of this anime due to it's epicness during ...

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf is an enjoyable and relaxing watch with a nice unique isekai gimmick. If you enjoy anime such as “Uncle from another World” or “Sasaki and Peeps” then I would recommend picking up this to watch.

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf is not your common isekai as I mentioned before due to it combining both normal isekai themes and also “reverse isekai” scenarios which results in some fun and interesting stories. The story mainly centres around Kazuhiro who is an ordinary Japanese salaryman, but has the ability to be isekaied into a fantasy world whenever he sleeps. The other main character ...
