This one is tad weird. When you watch the opening, you may consider it to be some another occult zombie story inside, but no. It goes farther and broader than that, well, totally not in zombie direction, and not in a bad sense. Basically it's not what opening sells it for and the ending beats the opening in being much more like the series itself. I'd say the series are mix of the ending and opening, makes me think the studio didn't really know which direction to take initially :D

easily set for any anime I can watch without qualms and not consider it a waste of time. One that doesn't leave any too lasting an impression, but is easy and entertaining to watch. Basically, fine as in fine as it is. Could be better, could be worse, could be some passerby average, but no. This one is definitely fine to watch.
The story is some weird setting put over even more weirdly incompatible tropes of hero party, being unknowingly OPd, OPd but underrated being dismissed from the party, etc. But it's put together as lightweight dark fantasy and is put together rather consistently. It's brutal world. Nowhere is safe. Almost no gloss. Gory fights, almost no compassion and no complacence. Even when weirdly paired with chuuni story and some yuri-suggestive threading, it manages to maintain its consistent dark colors. There's a lot of plot armor imbued in the execution, but it doesn't feel any forced. The only great dip the story and execution take is at the first half of the last episode, but it all quickly recovers and regains sense again towards the last minutes. I'd say the breeding of chuuni girl yuri story patterns and a dark fantasy world weirdly succeeded here, and the result is fine. Compared to the very latest stream of glossy meaningless isekais, this one is rather entertaining.
For the yuri bits, it's only mildly suggestive. It bases off girl romance here and there, and there are multiple pairs forming within the full-female cast, but it's just hinting at it that doesn't dwell any deeper nor takes any strong moves on that part. You can consider it a bit of story setting and character preferences without any significant evolution coming. Rather light and totally not disturbing nor enveloping a thread overall.
For one thing that is a pity with this kind of a mess, alas, it's the second MC being no more than just a plot device to milk, yeah, milk this yuri suggestive thread up. She really acts as primary MC motivation bit but don't expect anything more than that, she's not even existent as character. No inner world, no self, no growth, nothing but the little background. She could as well be imaginary and nothing would have changed. I think things are going to move from that point further down the story because of the background given for her, but it doesn't happen in this one.
The art, well, is weird... It's good in terms of quality, it's slightly oldschool, it's consistent, and it's right up my alley. It was giving me so much SAO S1 vibes (actually a mix of SAO S1 and a bit of Tate no Yuusha, although it's not exactly there overall, still with original bits) that I even looked up the studio. An oh wow, this is A.C.G.T. who made few Initial Ds and then rather recent Boshokou no Berserk series that I really liked for being that much SAOish. The studio is really good at producing things at your good old unbeatable SAO S1-like style, and this already makes the art rather appealing. There are some deep dips like the weird fog scenes, but overall it maintains itself at the decent level.
For the rest of the rest, the music is good, the voicing is right and feel natural, and the sum of it all is solid. If you try and don't dislike first two episodes, go with it, it won't disappoint. Personally I am hoping this one would be getting a second cour one day, would definitely watch another one of it without hesitation.
P.S. After giving it a bit of thought, I've updated my overall rating of it to 7. These spiral-facey scenes really left an impression on me :)

If to sum it in just 2 words: mildly boring.
Just don't if you have something better to watch. Handling 24 episodes of nothingness is tough enough, and "5" is a bit overrating it.
What's wrong with this one?
Lots.
First things first, normally you see the characters building, progressing and executing the plot. Actions lead to actions, decisions to decisions, and with a little bit of armor almost any plot usually starts to feel more or less natural.
But that's not the case with this one. Here plot lives completely separately, and it dominates. Characters are mostly doing their own thing whenever they can, and when the plot

needs to progress, it takes these funny invisible strings and makes characters dance to progress further, disregarding all that happened two seconds ago. It is forced to the point it starts acting as deterrent, it would be better if there was just more slice of life instead of forcing it to progress in the 'right direction' all the time that crudely.
Then, the characters are 100% dull. The show is about emotions, but really nothing goes up this alley. All positive emotions are strongly lacking any basis and have no growth nor reasons for, they just happen like a predetermined thing, no less forced than the plot. All negative emotions are overexerted and 'just happened' for the sake of being then useful to our dear fully forced plot there. No characters really grow, it's just a matter of swaying left and right on every little whim while dancing to the plot party boomers.
For even if being the sample of some game-inspired mahou shoujo, this one totally lacks dynamics. The weapons are all and the same, the magic is 'whatever goes' and is repetitive, the battles are short and lack execution, something just lands somewhere it needs to however it needs to to progress the plot and that's it. It also lacks all this cuteness, shininess and moe your typical mahou shoujo has.
Really, the only natural and truly relaxing event in all of this mess was the godly pan smash. Yes. It was all totally worth watching whole 22.5 episodes right for this one, the ray of light in a shady train of, well, story. It definitely returns you back to the harsh but so soothing normality, too much necessary at this point. Just to say it, there's no decent story either, it's just a set of nonsensical events happening from start to the end, without any aims, means or ends.
The art is deeply average. It's consistent, but it's wildly random, highly low-res and decently lowkey. Nothing to point at, for the game inspired one it's just plainly on the worse side.
To add to that all, it features an extremely slow start in the first 12 eps where you would yawn at it almost constantly. Then it becomes mildly entertaining (alongside being mildly boring), and keeps this up to the very end.
So... don't bother. 4.5 is the very maximum I can rate it to, rounded to 5 in the final rating.
You probably have something better to watch. If not, just prepare to spend the time. Not that you'll get much out of watching it.

Despite how this show can be undersold easily with its few starting episodes, go watch if it's right up your alley. It's totally not bad, and fun and relaxing.
To start with, there's really no isekai here except but a few minor references and some 'real world' terminology spoken. Besides that nothing and nobody relies on the isekai mechanics. Basically, not an isekai pretending to be isekai, just a funny romcom.

say it's more a collection of short stories ultimately leading to the desired outcome with whatever goes. But for one thing, that small story is executed rather consistently and never loses track of the aim on the way. There are also few side character small stories embedded which makes it more a wide romance story than anything else. While first two episodes may seem to be a mess, if you are ok with them, go ahead my friend. It becomes more serious towards the second half, but after the first half passes, it suddenly does a sharp turn and blows into full chuuni mode with whatever goes, both laughing at tropes and itself and then landing on every trope it can get at the same time. Yet at this moment you will be already kinda ready for anything and so this doesn't hurt at all, the show keeps being strange but entertaining to the very end.
The art is, erm, also strange. First things first, this show heavily suffers from the art inconsistency. It's a mix of okay character+dynamic art (which sadly also degrades into highly low-resolution and low-quality one at places) and ultimately low-res sourced but extremely nice pencil and pastel art backgrounds. In the first episode, this background art itself and wide introduction of pencil/pastel/other drawing shaders to the mix may seem totally out of place, but don't let it stop you, bear with it for one and a half. Throughout the second episode and fully from the third you'll get used to it and actually the studio finally catches the drift so the mix starts to look completely natural and even appealing despite all the resolution degradation that happens just randomly and wherever. Still, this improves even more in the second half where you almost stop noticing it.
The sound and music are okay, nothing great but also nothing much extra to be desired. And oh this support character voice shtick. It plays really well with the story though. Even if it (yet again) seems inconsistent at first, it somehow manages to fit in later on.
To sum it all, this one is balanced between being lowkey and inconsistent and being entertaining. Which one of two would it be for you, or both? You choose :)

Wanted to drop this right after episode zero, but watched few more to be sure.
Seems like another wet set of 'new generation fantasies' with handy plot armor and 'everything should be granted' blessing. Even the postapocalyptic setting is no fun, it looks forced but not deserved and concentrates just on some weird kind of 'romance'. The relationships are forced, the setting is forced, the dialogues are forced and the storyline is forced. Basically, everything in the show is forced fantasy of 'how it all happens in my head', and that's what makes it appaling.

the very end. I'm not sure if 'ai' generation was used for that or what but it just doesn't feel natural. The forms are overexerted and the 'futuristic cutesy' likes... erm... all forced.
Rated it 3 just for the attempt and consistency in being bad, as there are shows much worse out there.
And yeah, 3 shots hit and body didn't propel a millimeter with it? Are you real? No. This one is just wannabe 'view on the world' nonsense, don't waste any time on it.

If you want to just relax at nothing serious and this one suits your palate, just go with it. It's what it seems to be.
Yes, this one is just a kind and easygoing childish fairy tale about overpowered omnipotent kind of human mage in isekai calling himself material gatherer (although Clean master would suit him more) and his no less overpowered native companions just doing much whatever they want, saving everyone on the way and solving everything just on a whim. Nothing more, nothing less.
The story flows on a totally positive note, there's nothing evil or sinister in it, all opponents are trivial and exist
...
just for the sake of being vanquished easily or to become fantastic (no less) food.
Technically speaking, the art is quite decent for the genre and budget, leaving not much to wish. The only drawback here is background music which is definitely lacking in variety, and also many things happen just in silence while the heartwarming story aura definitely could certainly be much better and more enveloping if the bgm was right.
So, not a waste, but not anything great that will leave any impression either. Just a thing to kick back and relax with. Don't be wary of the rating of 5, the 5 is exactly the average grade, if we reserve one of 10 for only the things that captivate you completely which I do.
P.S. If you feel it's slow and sloppy, it will get more interesting towards the end. Not much, but yes, it'll move to its better side a little.

Well, when this started as anything going nonsense, I immediately grasped there's not much to expect.
Still, with it being mildly entertaining, I've made myself watch it to the end. It is a tolerable watch.
The whole show you'll be trying to grasp for any reason and trying to guess where it's going.
Don't. It's going nowhere, and it has no reason nor plot any decent. It's watchable, just don't expect anything.
At best it's a story about certain button malfunction, that's it.
There is no progress, everything is being just given out and happens as granted.
There is no action, well, there's action, but it happens like anything goes to

achieve the end result.
They even forgot he used one of the skills once and should actually know already, and were teaching him again.

Erm, are ass-kicking noble girls a thing now? This is I think the third one I saw in the past year.
Yes, when you see this hairpin, you immediately know where this is going. And yes, it would be going there.
A fine and a little mischievous slice-of-life comrom without any sharp angles and edges or deep dips. Yes, comrom exactly because it's more 'com' than 'rom'. If you expect deep plots, you will certainly be disappointed, but if you want to laze down watching something funny for a change of pace, this one can become your one.
It won't give you any roller coasters, dramas, ups and

downs. One can say there's even no plot per se. After setting up the prerequisites in the first two episodes, it fully stops evolving and just concentrates on the daily life and all the mischief happening between what transpired and what is to come, not touching the basis anymore. Then it just keeps its mild pace towards its naturally happy ending.
Yes, this is the 'positive' kind of story that will not thrill nor play on your nerves, except maybe for the one time close to the end.
With everything else being average, it's just your natural run of the mill show that eventually makes you laugh and relax watching it.
One can recommend it just because it is really lightweight and still entertaining.

One thing to say before the rest, if you have watched the first one and now are in doubt, go watch that without qualms.
The first one was strange. It is a rare case of action anime that I've watched with a yawn. Yes. Action anime. With a yawn. As the implementation was good despite a bit of armor, it was immediately clear it is a problem of the source, not the series. But still, with all of its awkward spiraling pacing and source doing two downs after one up on every story progression, it just blunted all the sharp edges rendering the result being unable

to entertain and keep you thrilled. Earning many more than just few yawns per episode.
Still, the second one picks up its pace well. The anime team finally got the hang of handling the lazy source beast, and so it is decent now. It keeps you on the right edges and is progressing smoothly now in terms of all the story, growth and action. Yes. It swiftly darts beyond the up and down hollows, and even when the story tries to do it yet again, the anime team compensates with a good extra action wherever seems possible, not leaving it sulking in the swamp for long anymore.
They even managed to prepare very well for the tear-jerker, and it really beats you to it here. Yeah. The source does it yet again here, but luckily we are compensated enough by upping the pace immediately, so it all feels fine.
And yes it finally goes out of your common dull typical setting, becoming a little more serious. The first one pales in comparison as a full drag, and the third one is actually promising now. It's even expected, especially with something sinister finally boiling behind the scenes.
No, this all doesn't warrant any rating too high. Just if you like the genre. It's really a laggard story that dragged for the whole first season almost making the second one to be dropped before it can even be assessed and found good. And I'll be honest, it's pretty much being run-of-the mill for now and even running in circles. Still, the plot does seem to prostrate farther than circling around the trash bin so much and so personally I'm eager to see where it comes next. If it does.

When I was starting this, having read the intro synopsis I had expected something like heavy story about captivity, conquest and learning the world the hard way alongside. Luckily this one overturned all this in an instant.
To start with, this one is extremely good. The story is peaceful, the plot does exist and is consistent, the amount of emotion, comedy and grains of attempts on romance is just right, and thus it naturally gives you these fine old fantasy vibes. to maintain a good pace between storytelling and having it as slice of life. Character growth? There's aplenty, and at a managed pace.
The art is decent. Yes, it's definitely extremely lowres and heavily upscaled at places, but don't let it disappoint you. From the very start it can be seen clearly that there's a huge lot of real old-fashioned drawing involved in it instead of models and roto (which do exist but in a comparatively small amount) and this gives this art the ultimate charm. Even being that, the art is dynamic and the movement seems to be a tuned combination of tween and hand-drawn image. Honestly, this is almost not to be expected nowadays, and it really shines.
There is almost nothing to criticize except it being too short, it's one hell of series well done. It doesn't make you gawk in awe, that's for sure, but still it is a nice watch putting itself highly above average for the genre.
For the other things, there is a hellish lot of worldbuilding for that a short cour. I genuinely hope this one gets its second season and more, dwelling further into what kind of story it manages to build.

Bummer and quick drop. This is a good example of how to take good art and consistent animation and put all the effort to waste and down the drain.
It could really be a consistent and appealing romance anime, if not for the story material.
The recipe is easy. Take 1 x slut and 1 x potato and try to pair them *forcibly*. It was not easy surviving the first episode, but there was a potential of some relationship building. Either taking the ride for the fun and then getting into it, or being not what they are, or just both starting to grow in the process.

No. It's just endless meaningless blabbling and going in circles further down. The characters are too self-immersed and are not even trying to form a relationship. Both of them are literal bundles of red flags that are to be avoided. Both of them are just lacking common sense. Both of them are mentally shallow to no end. And the result of forcing it is predictable, as this never works. They barely interact, and when they do it's that awkward as if there's a mile separating them and the distance ever grows instead of closing down. Everything they do is just meaningless, and even forced inserts where something happens to bring them closer emotionally feels totally out of place, as it happens right out of nowhere. Whatever there is, it ends in as shallow and boring demagogy as it may be, sometimes to the point of making you puke.
It is a combination of bad story and bad storytelling. It could easily be seen anime team did everything to make it progress in the predefined direction at least more or less naturally and kudos for them already for even trying it, but alas, this didn't work. The show is awkward and unnatural, and every second of it you understand more and more: no, this is totally unrealistic and is not going to work. Not was going to work, not can it work unless forced down by the godly producer power on the author train which is speedily becoming a trainwreck. And that's, alas, about it on this one.
