Sometimes, when life is hard, you just need a "friend."

Working at a game company, Rihito Ootsuka (23), is a "normal" guy who is a steady presence on and off the job. Noa Saotome (27) is a "hard-core" woman who likes to go all out at everything she does. Two people who usually wouldn't get along become "friends" by chance...? This is a start of an workplace "friendship" comedy that's a little sweet but also a little heavy!

Noa-Senpai is an extremely sweet and smile-inducing romcom. The premise revolves around both sides being extremely dense, but contrary to most titles that use this trope, this manga stands out as it is packed other flavors other than just your usual Ecchi silly moments.

Believe me when I say I don't like Ecchi manga. It usually distracts the story and flow just for a one-time lewd gag that they'd never look back again. However, Noa-senpai's case works as the story actually revolves around these 'accidents' -- the manga expand on them instead.

The perfect time killer manga

One of the most popular office manga that’s advertised by many people as a very good manga. However, when I read it, my reactions were just.. meh. It is somewhat decent but it has many flaws that make it less interesting.

On one hand, best aspects about this manga is its cute art style and unique characters. The main characters consist of a guy who is the definition of too unproductive, and the girl who is the definition of too productive. Throughout the chapters, they make a somewhat special dynamics, with the girl overreacting with literally everything in ... life and the guy doesn’t give a single sh*t. The side characters are okay, not unseen before nor they really have anything special with each other, meaning most of their conversations are either about or with the main two mcs.

On the other hand, the story isn’t that interesting for many reasons. Firstly, the main appeal of the manga is the main girl, meaning 90% of focus are on her. This could make readers who are more interested in the story than the big chested girl not enjoy the majority of the story since it focus a lot on her (The lonely males out there could not think that this is an issue for them but whatever). Additionally, although unique, the characters’ traits can feel extremely repetitive. This problem is so massive that every time a new character that interacts with the main girl is introduced, you’d get dejavu of the events that happen right after it, which is the girl cried due to how his attention isn’t on her. However, if this happens once or twice, it wouldn’t be a problem. The main issue is that the manga is 134 chapters long and this same exact scenario happened like 7 times already, which can be very uninteresting for the readers

Moreover, lack of direction for an ending for this manga is also a glaring issue for this manga. Even in those school life mangas, they have a sense of direction for an ending, which in most cases is the graduation and university. However, this manga, which is an office “romance”, has none of that. Additionally, the word romance is used very lightly since the main guy has absolutely no intention of being a couple of the main girl, nor the other way around. Both of these issues make the author not being able to write a satisfying ending since they can either extend the manga forever or force a romance between them, which completely go against the characteristics of the mc.

The result? An extremely long and repetitive manga (which has decent quality) that isn’t going to end anytime soon. If you want to have something to do that’s somewhat meaningful, read this manga. However, if you have more important things to do, don’t even bother.

Ehhhhh ehhhhh ITS ALRIGHT?

I really do not like when authors have not finished a story before starting a manga, and when you have reached your 200th manga, you can easily tell what manga has a planned story.

There is a big dilemma now with how the author did not plan the story: Are the 2 main characters going to end up together or stay as "bestfriends". And it is hard to settle for a side when you just know it is going to take 150 chapters for a ending.

Otherwise it is your average romcom, with crazy amounts of fanservice. What is the female main characters ...
