Synopsis

Amidst a pandemic, system engineer Nokoru Mitsuhashi is ordered to telework. Spending far more time at home than he knows what to do with, he eventually meets Natsu Izumi, an archeology grad student living next door. While adjusting to life during the lockdown, Nokoru discovers newfound emotions as he navigates his relationship with Natsu, who—unbeknownst to him—is his future wife!

This is one of the best short romance mangas I've ever read. It's quite simple but what makes it interesting and lovely is the fact that this is just different than any story out there. The adults actually act like adults and kissing and sex is just showed as normal things, which they are. I'll be honest, this fact really wins my heart because the story before they kiss or have sex, really makes me giddy, especially the kiss part. This was such a lovely and quick read! I think this series would have cheered me up if I read it closer to quarantine, which heavily impacted my well-being. The first chapter which focuses on Nokoru updating his apartment is genuinely so wholesome and sometimes I go back just to reread that first chapter. The care he puts into his manga, a series he loves and how he displays his tech books to show off the work he has put into being in his career currently is so lovely. What a refreshing take on a romance manga. So... when's the anime?

I won't lie, this manga took me a bit to get going for me, as it was void of all the cliches and crappy tropes that make you lose brain cells but make for a unique or engaging story. Honestly, this manga had none of that, and I was a bit worried at first because of the lack of "appeal."
