Synopsis

Sally was a tomboy and mischievous witch girl. One day, she was attracted by an advertising balloon, and went to the department store. There she found girls of the same age, Sumire and Yoshiko, and she wanted to become friends with them. After she became good friends with them, she made up her mind to pretend to be a human and began to live in the town with her follower, Kabu. Then she began to know more important things than magic.

Simple art, silly story and flat characters. And yet, surprisingly charming and, even more surprising, creepy.

Sally is a magical girl, allright. But whaf is magic? Magic defies logic and is inherently inhuman, and those who use it are, to say the least, capricious. And so is Sally, and her short time on Earth is a blessing: just short enough to amaze us, but not long enough for her to get tired of us and maybe decide humans are not friends after all.

All magical girls that came after are a little bit of Sally. All the cute warriors of justice, as well as the tormented humans ...
