Akiyama is taking a calculated gamble and playing some serious psychological games with his opponents this round. Impressive considering the risks.

He's pretty much betting on himself and what lies ahead.

a team is in hot water, riperoni.

In the previous episode:

ATM in Night: 2.31884 billion
3rd acc Night: 1.319485 billion

ATM in Day: 1.91000 billion
3rd acc Day: 1.651675 billion

---

Akiyama's plan:

ATM in Night: 2.31884 billion - 2.31884 billion = 0
3rd acc Night: 1.319485 billion

ATM in Day: 1.91000 billion + 2.31884 billion = 4.22884 billion
3rd acc Day: 1.651675 billion

---

What actually happen because of Yokoya:

ATM in Night: 2.31884 billion + 1.91000 billion = 4.22884 billion
3rd acc Night: 1.319485 billion

ATM in Day: 1.91000 billion - 1.91000 billion = 0
3rd acc Day: 1.651675 billion

(To simplify, results above are not accurate which mean I didn't count rounds that were played before the plan)

---

Currently (according to the anime):

ATM in Night: 2.31884 billion + 1.91000 billion = 4.22884 billion (Translation puts 4.22885 billion wtf??? but JP is showing 4.22884 billion)
3rd acc Night: 1.269485 billion

ATM in Day: 1.91000 billion - 1.91000 billion = 0
3rd acc Day: 1.701675 billion

keeping track of these scores kinda mind f me loll

If only we got to hear the backstory behind the teddy bear (i.e. the actual protagonist) too. Whoever in Night who's had a chance to listen to Nao's yapping got a decent break from Yokoya's tyranny at least lol.

That was a solid kick from Fukunaga though, damn.

Can a team take the money from one ATM to another?
If that's possible, then Team Day has won, hasn't it?

In that case, all the money would be transferred back on the last day.

It's actually funny how much those 3 are feeding and not letting Akiyama carry them. They just stand there and frown like they couldn't just play safe.

Then you got Fukunaga who isn't losing or winning, but raging in the chat. It really does feel like a game of League. Honestly starting to enjoy watching Fukunaga more and more.

Interesting to see the flip in who people are calling dumb in the show now, early on it was Nao and now it’s not Nao, did I say Nao enough times now? Okay I’ll stop now, or maybe I won’t because that was another now, oops it happened again lol. But yeah wow Yokoya really raked Day team over the coals, just when Akiyama dropped this surefire winning strategy on everyone, it got pretty much ruined when Yokoya beat him to it, only he didn’t need a traitor, he just needed to fool these dumbasses into giving them money lol.

Well there is one silver lining to all of this, and it’s that it’s gonna be hella interesting to see how they find a way out of this mess, Akiyama did find out more than just the withdrawing more than you can carry trick after all, maybe there’s something to the broken cards or that you can use someone else’s.

I'm being harsh on her, she has improved, but it seems to come at the cost of everyone else's intelligence.

How could those three not see such an obvious trap? And just walk straight into it?

Well that was a hilarious episode. No wonder those three gullible folks are in the game in the first place.

Akiyama burn.

I like this idea of true smuggling. They should just one up the thing and pocket the cash literally. I mean if Nao is able to snuck a teddy bear in her dress (and Akiyama actually had a huge wad of cash previously), what's another 2.1billion yen in your crack right? LOL

How does it keep getting better????

The game is not only reaching its peak, but the music is being properly used finally, the animation is spectacular with so many details, and they've finally leaned into the humour more, which I've really missed since the manga is so funny!

I never knew being an LG fan would be so good in 2026~!

So I was correct in my assessment last episode, they're going to have to actually smuggle money now but unfortunately Akiyama and Nao's team-mates aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. Fukunaga got some of the best animation of this series with her running up to kick that guy, love every scene she's in and I hope next episode she has an extended scene where she just beats up everyone.

Just drop it. This is one of the peak games and the anime is adapting it brilliantly, especially with the step up in animation and soundtrack.

Manga readers are having the time of our lives, if you can't deal with some realistic characters being selfish and stupid then yeah, not for you, these kinds of characters will exist in every game.

Bet. Thanks for the heads up.

If this is meant to be the peak, I don't really have much hope for the rest.

Also, they aren't really acting realistically tbh, how does anyone fall for such a trap? Even with that money on the line.

As much as I hate those three, I actually kind of understand why they decided to do that. First, they were already terrified just from hearing Yokoya's name. Second, they were desperate to win the money. Third, the other team's acting was really convincing, especially since their (fake) mission aligned with the Day Team's goal, which was to take down the Night Team. On top of that, they kept bringing up "wanting to take down Yokoya," which fooled those spineless members. So yeah, I was so satisfied when Fukunaga flew into a rage. Seriously, I think Akiyama's biggest weakness is having teammates who are cowardly yet greedy and stupid. I honestly feel bad for him. He keeps thinking of different strategies and trying every tactics he can so the Day Team can get ahead of the Night Team, while the others can't even manage to move in a straight line. At first they acted like cowards with the empty briefcase decision, and now they're adding even more burden by putting such a huge amount of money in the ATM.

Besides, it doesn't even make sense. The long-haired guy literally said, "Our boss is amazing. He already has a foolproof plan to win, so sorry, but your team is going to lose," and then he goes and reveals their plan? Haaaa.

But now that I think about it, it's actually pretty scary. Whether they realized it or not, it wasn't just the Night Team that was under Yokoya's control, but the Day Team as well, because they were fooled and fell right into his trap. Well, except for Akiyama, Nao, and Fukunaga, of course. I can't really say the same about the other members, but there's a good chance they would've been fooled too if they'd been in that situation.

Either way, all of this just makes it even more exciting. That scene at the end where Yokoya and Akiyama stared at each other through the glass was cool. I really really can't wait to see Akiyama (and Nao, and Fukunaga... and the Day Team) turn everything around. Seeing that shocked, caught-off-guard look on Yokoya's face again would be so satisfying haha.

But seriously, they realized how to use that card way too late... :( If only they had figured it out from the beginning, especially since they kept using the empty briefcase strategy at the start... ahhh, it's so frustrating!!

Let me spill it for you. You don't know what the money thinking / psychology is, nor that any such Intel from those who drool for Yor Forgers is expected by me ofc ;)

Its not much of a trap because once you bring 300 mil on top what you have in Depo, you load up yourself bullets in Doubt 100M gun to stop any smuggling. This plan hinges on a fact NO ONE KNOWS hes not alone in that, and once Night country has no more money to smuggle your Doubt 100M only hurts you, it's rendered completely useless while if you play the game regularly they fire Doubt 100M on you, at least at Yokoya's behalf.

Those NPC act that way particularly because they have been in previous rounds. Why should they care for their team wins? They only work for themselves. The third fish which like stole and deposited 1 bil extra, you can make excuse for him too.

Its one of the things people still don't get and react at every shit like chickens. 600 mil extra brought you can probably expect to buy one traitor in Night team, which is clearly not enough. 1 bil on top of that buys you TWO traitors at least. See where it's goin?

The problem is of course that he straight out STOLE it for himself. But because Fukunaga can beat the flying shit of him (he came clean because of that particular fear) it's not a problem, it's essentially Aki's money now

You just got mindfucked by author one extra time enjoy it xD

On a serious LG note: Yokoya is super likeable even more than AkiNao imo because he makes normies hemorrhage after he stomps them in a cold blood. Fukunaga and dealers are super fun, too. Those who drool over teenagers might disagree though, haha

It doesn't matter much because of the game design.

As seen with Rat scheme, you bribe people by bringing them suitcases full of money they declare doubt 100m and take it. It's one extra thing if you need to bribe big you need more rounds and mix some rounds so it becomes less obvious. But it still can be done at the current stage.

So Night team went with the risk when they smuggled everything to Day team: they lose the cash funds to bribe Day further no matter what happens from now on. But as we both know it's not a problem cause bribing is the rule of greed, while you still have the rule of fear left, huehuehue

@EscapismToTheMax I think his question was related to all the money in the ATM and transfer them all to other ATM if I guess correctly. With less rounds, it looks harder and less unpredictable to smuggle 100 million through the inspection phase after all the money go to another ATM

"Listen to what I say and follow my scheme so that we can hurt Yokoya" -> Why the heck did anyone fall for this?
There is no benefit at all here. It doesn't actually benefit them or anything and nobody on the day team has a vendetta against Yokoya.

What is the motivating factor here? It can't be greed because the money doesn't actually go to them. It goes to the day account, not the 3rd country account. The NPCs already know that the day account's funds for winning are worthless. And it can't be fear obviously. And it can't be petty revenge because they barely know Yokoya.
And it happened to 3 people in a row?

What was the writer smoking here? Atleast give a good reason why they got tricked. There no motivation here.

"Do this thing to ragebait Yokoya for me for absolutely no benefit to yourself. Trust me bro. Yokoya gonna be so mad".

Tell me I'm missing something here or is everyone is just brainwashed randomly?

Why is nobody talking about this? Did everyone here (and the characters) forget the rules? Only 3rd account money goes to you. Country account goes to opponent.

It's not stupidity either, cuz that implies they got tricked.
But they didn't. They just got brainwashed to help opponents with their scheme to ragebait Yokoya for.....no gain for themselves.

It's like everyone forgot the rules all of a sudden.

Reason: Bad writing? Writer is high? Yokoya has psychic brainwashing powers?

@hanakocheeks It's not greedy or stupid.

The money goes into the night account. NOT the 3rd account. The money ain't going to them. There is no greed.

@LeaseDue in akiyama's plan, he said to offer the traitor compensation money. yokoya uses the same plan but before akiyama, but the jesus dude never mentioned about the compensation money. did he? i wonder what the 3 were thinking.

about the rules, it was explained in episode 11 under an analogy "you have to smuggle money before the war starts.", the dealer asks what happen once war starts and Fukunaga replies "it becomes enemy's money".

Honestly comments complaining about how stupid these three are only see things that way in hindsight, if you see things from their perspective you'll find that what they did makes sense, regardless of whether or not they believed Yokoya's men, depositing 300 millions to your personal account is a huge advantage in terms of winning, you'd need to look at the bigger picture in order to notice the psychological trap behind it, they didn't think about the country's account because they're selfish, plain and simple, of course this makes them arguably worse as people, but I personally find their behavior believable, it's selfishness and short-sightedness, not stupidity.

Also tune in next week for one of the most brilliant episodes in the series.
