That question makes me feel oddly uncomfortable😂
But yes there are female characters that could be considered waifus but not necessarily in a sexual way unless you find badass, cool, sweet or kind characters to be enough for your.. I don’t know what to call it😂 Celty is the most renowned example

You asked for waifus😂. And waifus are not ”normal“ female characters XD they are waifus! And yeah rather one gendered anime usually are low niveau productions, of course with exceptions (like Magika Madoka). The rest typically are harem, hentai, magical girl, fighting or romance anime (I may habe forgot some genre but you get it)
