| gohands is one of my favorite studios because of their experimental approach to things, camera angles and most importantly because they made K, so im happy to watch one of their new anime. good ep1, as an anime only i can kinda see that they had to speedrun a bunch of things. but if it stays like this for all 26 ep than i will be happy. my main complaint is that they stick around a tiny bit too much on framings with the camera. this worked really good with K because that anime is a masterclass in aesthetics, but this one is not refined enough to afford such hanging frames. but i think its the first episode effect of the studio, they always exaggerate things. im expecting that they will dial down some things from the next ep onward, like that reaction from the other adventurer |

| I have really been looking forward to watching this and it did not disappoint. I have seen a few anime's like this where the skill considered weak by man is actually one of the strongest in that world. The father and Malice are both scum, Elymas is definitely going to put both of them in their at some point and it will be satisfying to watch when it happens. |

| Awesome start to the Summer 2026 season for me! I actually fairly recently watched a GoHands anime that was widely hated, being Hand Shakers, and believe it or not, I was a big fan of it, yeah I know I know, call me crazy lol. And the only other show I’ve seen by them is “The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses” from a few years back in Summer 2023, now I remember back at that time there were some people that gave the show’s style shit, and I’m seeing some of that here as well. My take? I don’t understand why some hate it, I don’t think every anime needs to be animated the same way, I think GoHands has a super unique style and I think this show right here is an especially beautiful example of it as of Episode 1. At the end of the day tho, it is what it is, I’ll enjoy the hell out of this myself and that’s all that really matters. Now about the plot, it’s pretty simple really, its the standard Isekai where one class is thought to be terrible, but it’s actually the most powerful, and yeah there isn’t much beyond that as of the first episode. But that is just the starting point after all, if this will truly be something special or not is something we’ll find out as it goes along, and with it being two cours, it has a lot of time to do that. And hey, even if it ends up not being that special plot wise, I will at least enjoy the beautiful visuals and also the beautiful babes, because damn the two we saw in this first episode have really good designs, Malice of course we know is a bit of an evil bitch but she’s hot that’s for sure lol, the harlequin girl however was making my jaw hit the floor a few times, bless GoHands for all of those tasteful camera angles lol, and I also just really like her design, I’m excited for her introduction. And of course there’s our MC, Elymas, he seems cool and he’s made a good showcase of his Heavy Tank powers so far, if his moves are already looking that crazy then I really look forward to what they look like when he reaches broken status. And that was an absolutely fire OP and ED pair, big fan of them both, and that walking animation in the ED went insane man, like lord have mercy lol. Well I’m quite excited to see where this one goes, I’m seated for all of it from now to the fall! |

| @ainochar you hate the animation? this is some of the best animation i've seen in ages, I assume they're using CGI/3D for the background scenes, but they're actually really good compared to 5-10 years ago. The camera angles are different for sure but in my opinion they're making it more interesting than the stagnant crap we've been spoon-fed lately. like Iseleve with their powerpoint panning slides lmao |

| Woa, I liked the episode, but slow down, GoHands. I know you like to flex "look how good we can use Unreal Engine to make our anime", but give it a break π
The first half of the episode was somewhat confusing, but as the prince gave way, it was like some "dreams of the future", or "Deja Vu", maybe part of the mission he played when it was a game, and now he is reliving as "real life" Let's wait and see, I was not expecting it to be a 2-cours show, either π |
| This ticks quite a few of the boxes for "seasonal fantasy slop" which would mean it's bordering on getting dropped. That said, this is made by GoHands with all that entails + I do like a good revenge story (both his father and ... stepsis(?) needs a good punch.) Also Shion Wakayama! <3 Will continue watching for now. Pre-emptive 7/10. |

Not terrible, even if it falls HARD into the ridiculous trope of a world where despite having millions of people over many generations, somehow NO ONE has stumbled across a pretty obvious OP build which can be easily unlocked at level 1.
The camera though...while I guess it's supposed to be a visual flex, there were a few scenes where I though I was going to literally throw up. Is it really necessary to spin constantly for no reason?

| @amf85 I didn't even think of that, but yeah trying to use the initial player opinion on the class, as the prevailing viewpoint for the characters in the world, makes absolutely no fucking sense. And, I'm pretty sure if you pick the heavy defender in game you're not going to start off disowned by your family because your class is fucking trash, but it would be hilarious. lol |

| Low 6/10, not sure why they want to spend a good 80% of this ep going over the visuals, like people's faces and the tourist view spots whatnots... really just turning me off... let's hope for improvements soon or else this is just another one of those wanna-be anime that ends up failing hard instead lol |

Nothing says it’s a GoHands show more than no clipping through floors, hair moving as if a plane engine is blowing in their faces from the slightest movements, and ofc starting with some insane eye raping action.
Oh and it’s fantasy? The plot must be dogshit right? Check. It’s definitely GoHands.

| @griddyweeb Yup, right there with you. The constant camera pans, zoom ins, 360 spins mixed with unnecessary angles, and overly fluid animation made my stomach and head spin. I actually have a headache now. When I saw the trailer, I was very worried that this would be the outcome, but I didn't know it would go this hard. I really like the manga, so I really wanted to like the anime. I'm going to try the second episode, but if it goes as hard as this episode did, I'm going to have to sadly drop it. |

| What a pile of burning garbage.. Shit plot, shit camera work, shit angles, shit directing and presentation, and above all, ABSOLUTE SHIT ART AND ANIMATION, dear god... Looks like those older AI generated fighting scene videos, but somehow even worse... And even outside the fighting scene kaleidoscope acid seizure they manage to make the hair look so frigging unappealing and disgusting to look at even in stills, but its animation which behaves like a spazzing out gmod ragdoll or something just makes it a thousand times worse! Made me have Vietnam flashbacks to Ex-Arm |

| @LunaBright Felt the same here, Luna. It's so much better to watch some visuals that are trying to do something new than the generic same stuff, even if "the trying is too hard" I'll take it. | I like the moving angles but doing it 90% of the time is just stupid that you won't be able to comprehend what's going on, I didn't have a problem when GoHands did it with Hand Shakers but they're overdoing it here |
