a very interesting development here. laios seems to be the hero of a prophecy. will this clash with his desire to find his sister or be an aid? anyways I'm loving this!

Something will happen to the dungeon now that the elves are involved, also some of Kabru's past. I really thought he was going to betray Laios and the team and tell everything to the elves. That village is inside the dungeon? Where the sun comes from? Magic I guess. I loved Izutsumi acting like a cat, was so cute, the best side of her. Now Laios is part of a prophecy and has to save those people from the immortality, being inmortal and being confined to only that village would be very boring.

but no long ears tho.

the lunatic mage indeed have the immortal spell but it's more of a curse. Also the imortal world seems to exist in a diffrent dimention and is limited to outside world.
pretty shitty immortality that is. izutsumi finnaly acting all cute but poor laios was so depressed about her not letting him pet her lmao. but dude got to milk some tits loool.
wonder how this gonna end. Laios becoming king? that would be pretty rad.

I LOVE A GOOD LORE DROP! (terms and conditions apply)
- Someone else mentioned the sad fairy. I’m thinking that fairy (elf fairy) was sad they didn’t get to do the medieval equivalent of bombing Baghdad, because I’m getting the sense that when the elves get involved… you’re done
- like a world military or superpower that can choose to step in as they please
- at first, I was wondering Kabru didn’t want elves because the whole economy based around the dungeon might collapse. It seems to me more that the Elves, with their massive firepower, somehow manage to botch things. Whether it’s killing civilians as they try to collapse? a dungeon, to being unaware as dead people get turned into monsters for some reason
- Those elves, I like the voices of. ESPECIALLY that guy elf with the crooked eyes, short scruffy grey/white hair that vaguely reminds me of Kenshi Yonezu, and that voice that is the same as Shigaraki in Hero Academia
- hm, Shuuro decided not to break the news of Chimera Falin to Namari, instead just saying she’s still not found. I would’ve surely thought it’s the Mad Magician’s fault that Falin got turned into a Chimera, I don’t think Marceille’s magic would’ve automatically made her dragon
— though that bit of Falin shielding them in the blink of an eye a few eps back, does sort of suggest maybe she got some dragon skills and was close enough for the Dark Magician to sew her into
- Oh I forgot about those ghosts and Laios’ “hallucinations”
- I am kinda unsure. Were they whisked back to some point in the past? But lord Delgal is long dead
- Is it the present? This implies that if you go down far enough, a regular looking village with regular looking villagers - albeit, with lifespans closer to an elf’s (mister 600 year old, the first generation brewer doing a 400 year ale) - will just appear
- Wouldn’t the whole “dungeon” have been like this golden village, rather than just being some outskirts area? Yaad seems to know about the dungeon which suggests more and more they’re in the same time
- Iconic frames of Marceille and the … “old fashioned”, dress that is a bunch of diamonds etc. isutzumi being oddly docile and even more cattish. Laios getting to see Minotaur nipples, and Chilchuck going ever closer to insanity with Laios and Senshi
- lol Senshi puking when they were summoned. Maybe dwarves have lower mana or magic tolerance etc
- I wonder if that prophecy only came about *because* Laios hopped in a few paintings
- Senshi’s observation about their absence of hunger related to their bad cooking (the food didn’t taste like much), yet their persistence in agricultural *make-work*, so as to stay sane, is a pretty astute observation

Finally… now I’m wondering if that dark mage - Thistle if this website is anything to go by - what if they also had the same fear as Marceille? That they would also outrun all those they know and love, their Papas, their Pipis, and more. But thistle is probably a full elf so would grapple with this fine.

Maybe it’s like

, Thistle sees that
- people don’t like dying
- they patch that
- people should be happy! Why do they want to die??

Also does make me think Marceille might indeed be heading to dangerous places, magic wise

(T&C - not the whole anime. But the lore gets me thinking and wondering about it more, though it can be harder to resume a series)

This keeps on getting better and better. Finally a Japanese story that doesn't just glaze the Elves to the high heavens without some critical views. BTW One of them is literally identical to Pirotess from Record of Lodoss War. Nice homage!

The village and dresses bit was a bit weird tbh, but the prophecy was a good surprise. Another turn for the serious.
