| Well, I admit Elma has a lot of guts. Fighting something much stronger than he is takes courage and he cleverly used his skills. This episode had a video game-esque feel though, with the stats and combat elements. I feel like a lot of these battles will have a similar style. |

| Episode is now up on Crunchyroll y’all. So this episode was not as interesting to me as the premiere, more generic level farming and big boss fight that you see in these RPG isekai, the important thing is Elymas realizing he can’t do this all alone and finding his first eventual party member. I do understand him wanting to level up, but eventually you’re gonna need a party. Your class was optimized for that. Spider fight was hard to watch as I hate spiders, but more of your standard Gohands ADHD camera angles, the other thing people don’t talk about with Gohands enough is how they overexpose these scenes so much. Like the highlights are always blown in the action sequences. Idk if that’s a consequence of their camera motions or what, but it looks bad lmao |

Why are the backgrounds so hideous??? It's distracting me from the actual show. Other than that and the roughly 3 minutes of recap, this was a pretty good episode! I think I'm going to enjoy this show quite a bit

| @AstarotLean This anime is made by someone who as a kid, played nothing but JRPG's. Then that kid grew up discovered ChatGPT and started generating his dream world. The most basic, generic RPG world in existence with a dash of isekai. First we fought TERRIFYING frogs, then a CREEPY spider, next it'll be SPOOOKY skellies and zombies. Maybe rapey goblins, trolls, harpies later, ending it all with a fight with some undead dragon or some stupid shit you've seen a million times in such anime. Can't wait. At this point I'm just fascinated by the ADD camerawork in this anime. Since this anime did it, let's do a pointless recap to the first episode with shitty AI-generated medieval/fantasy town (make sure to open the image in new tab and admire the art):  |
| After seeing the reaction to Episodes 1 and 2 now, I’m being reminded of that saying/quote about being pissed on and calling it rain, or more so the opposite in this case lol, like anime fans will watch this and tell you it’s bad. I mean it is what it is at the end of the day, a lot of folks don’t vibe with it and that’s fine, it just is a little mind blowing to me as someone that’s enjoying almost every second of this so far, the only thing I’d agree with on the criticism of this episode is the amount of recap, because I don’t think we needed three minutes of the previous episode before we got into this one lol. Other than that, this was a banger imo. And yeah you could say the actual content is your standard Isekai stuff so far, Elymas is grinding XP and leveling up his skills and whatnot, I’m not gonna say it’s a cut above the usual in the plot department (at least not yet), but damn that spider fight was so fun, lots of really good looking moments throughout and I liked the way Elymas defeated it. He didn’t pull the W out of his ass, he made use of the skills he had on hand and chained them together so he could get the final blow with Rampart Reflection, others might see it differently but to me this felt like he properly earned the win and this wasn’t just the usual Isekai protagonist shows off his OP powers. And after officially becoming an adventure, Elymas has now found himself in a raid with a not so friendly big fella, I’m excited to see how this plays out. |

| It was an average episode; the soundtrack for the fight left something to be desired, and those 3D backgrounds are starting to look weird, but it's still watchable. Let's see how the next episodes turn out. |

| Good ep 5-7 min recap is crazy work ngl. The Ariandype is certainly out of Elymas's league, but continues to press forward. These BG are terrible. Idk what to call it. Looks like a distorted 2d mess on a PS2 or sum. Arus mad annoying. Disarm is a great skill. Time to start from the bottom... Unc only been on the screen for like a min and he alr annoying. 8.5/10   |

| Elymas, without his established Edvaughn family name, jumps from Level 2 to 8 with the new "Unwavering One" title with the defeat of that much Raana, thanks to Arus. But he has no time for pleasantries, much less being in a party with someone else that could waste his time having EXP to be shared. The issue in the forest, facing an Ariandype monkey spider that's twice of Elymas's level that's hiding for prey to come, the fight's not unwinnable. Thanks to the earned skill levels, Elymas facing the monkey spider without unwavering, the combination of the two enabling him to take it down, not without the monkey spider's poison status ailments that's the only time he needs Arus's help. Aside from the regular nightmares, Rondalm's Adventurer Guild is next on the pipeline to becoming a licensed adventurer, before the reproach to upskilling himself on the fastest track possible. And that...would be the Raid Quest, testing both his skills and resistance against the naysayers. Oh well, Elymas would just have to prove them wrong. |
