| Damn, I think these recent episodes broke Kurt. He still had to take charge and responsibilitie are getting to him. He's also seen so many lives lost so... Tanya clashing with Hans with her ideas is also interesting. Seems this episode really wanted to spice up the key players' personalities of this arc. |

"evil news") - "bad news" or "news of a death; death notice". |

| This episode went by in the blink of an eye! Yet there's not much to say besides the countdown of time as the hourglass drains away. We've seen many moments where Zettour and Rudersdorf interact as close friends and comrades in arms. However, the breaking point has come at last... They hold viewpoints that are total polar opposites to each other regarding what THEY must do going forward. Rudersdorf wanted to take on a major offensive and invasion plan whilst they have the time to do so, despite knowing how unrealistic it seems, and Zettour is willing to go all in for the diplomatic route, no matter how much dignity or blood must be shed if it means a peace treaty could be signed. Honour without Peace or Peace without Honour? Who's to say that neither of them is wrong? Zettour decides to assassinate Rudersdorf, his closest friend, seeing that they cannot see eye to eye, but the most tragic thing is that this happens just as they both got promoted to full-fledged generals. Leave it to Tanya to be the devil who proposes the idea of using Rudersdorf as a pawn to justify and assert a total military takeover, and having Zettour in charge. The scene with them both scheming in the dark on a rainy night was chilling. But at the end of the day, the parallel was clear as day...

| I'm not sure but it seems Rudersdorf intentionally allured assassination and also leaked information to kill himself. Though Tanya may be going to take unintentional action by the unexpected assault for her by the enemy. |

| Huh, so my feeling that we are going to see a military coup wasnt actually wrong? I always assumed Rudersdorf and Zettour where already generals, seeing how they belong to the highest echelon of strategic HQ. Just goes to show how bad my attention actually is, I didnt even notice they had dates in the episodes before now. What are the odds Rudersdorf leaked the information himself to get targeted by the enemy? @costmuffled "the day moe died" lol, in Youjo Senki of all anime. |

| So both Zettour and the British want to kill Rudersdorf, whose X is an hourglass that's run out of time. This was a very hard episode to watch with everything falling apart. Should be good buildup for the finale. Tanya will do whatever it takes to get off the front lines, and the Empire will continue to shed blood it cannot afford to shed. We'll say hi to Gin-san on our way out. |

| May I dare say....pretty good episode in a while. Because that last half scared the shit out of me, to think this is how we are going to twist in this tango?!! It has been a considerably quiet summer, but the Empire has been decaying for a year now. And it has gotten to a point that enough is enough, fighting a war against Ildoa? Humor us. And to think that it has reached a precipice that Zettour and Tanya are going to plan a coup against their fatherland, it is an insane albeit understandable plan. Unfortunately, that pesky spy (which we still don't know who) have leaked the plans to the allies and the fedemies. All for good ol' Rudesdorf. |

| The breaking point was going to happen sooner or later between Zettour and Rudersdorf considering how they hold complete opposites of what they think is the best plan for the empire. No matter how much they talked, shouted or even resorted to physical violence, the only thing to happen was for them to further steel up their viewpoints. Because of that, I'm not surprised that Zettour is planning to have his old friend assassinated after revealing it to Tanya and was willing to go along with it, but only after offering her own advice to the plan to make sure it works. Visually, the scene between these two was fantastic, as it captured how wild their expressions were. Who to think that Zettour could do a wild grin that would rival Tanya's own? XD Still, with how this episode has played out, I wouldn't be surprised if Rudersdorf had saw this coming for him. Not only that, but the allied forces are planning their own plan to take out Rudersdorf at the same time, so it'll be VERY interesting to see how the last episode will play out. If Rudersdorf does die, will it have been by Tanya or the allied forces? Heck, you can't rule out a chance for him actually surviving even if the odds of that happening are miniscule. |

| Damn, how did this turn out from attack on Ildoa to attack on Rudersdorf ?! And that too a plan made by his good old friend Zettour. Tanya and Zettour are made for each other 😭😭 Those faces were terrifying. The Allied Kingdom got wind of this operation through their spy within the Empire's army. I wonder who their spy is. I can't believe that such an important assassination plot got leaked. Even Tanya's company wouldn't know anything about this. But the Allied Kingdom seems to be happy to go along with this plan as long as they get to kill someone as important as Rudersdorf. The Federation doesn't seem to know the true motive behind this Shuttle bombing and they just wanna flex their tech to the Allied Kingdom. This season didn't have any major battles except for the Soldim 528 but still this season surprises me with major twists and turns. Can't wait to see if Tanya and Zettour be successful in their Assassination attempt. |

The beginning of this episode reminded me of when Rerugen hinted that he wants Tanya to bomb the capital as an inside job. Wonder if it'll ever happen

| That episode really flew by so quickly. I find it quite ironic that, as adamant as Zettour was to find a diplomatic end to the war, he would so readily resort to violence to silence his friend, even if Rudersdorf was hell-bent on continuing an impossible war. Gotta respect the guy for admitting that the only thing they can do at this point is apologise for misleading the public and losing the war, accepting all the responsibility and consequences that come with it, rather than lose even more lives out of stubbornness. But man, I can't believe that I thought for a second that Tanya really refused the murder initially for sentimental or moral reasons, turns out she just knew a better way to kill the guy, officially acting out the coup plans they were cooking up earlier in the season. Feels bad for Rudersdorf man. I don't know if he really will end up dying or who exactly will end up killing him between Tanya and the Allies, but I can't really say this was the best way to go about silencing him, as much of a bastard as he is. Loved to see more of Tanya's comically evil grins tho lol. Can't help but laugh at her claiming to be human, though I like that it stems from a sense of spite for both God and the Devil alike  |

| So they really be trying to stage "Operation Valkyrie". Coup, arrest/kill warmongers, negotiate exit and end the war. But we can't let anime end so soon right? :D Funny enough, it seems allied forces want to assassinate the same target! Tanya will fail and war will continue, as usual. |
| Another great episode. The way this is going feels like maybe we won't have to wait too long for another season. I hope this is the case. It's so good |

| Damn I wasn't expecting Zettour to do it but should have. The faces they were making was something. Rudersdorf definitely needs to go though. So the enemy plan to kill him is gonna coincide with Tanya's attack time I assume. Quite the buildup for the finale. Also damn just one more episode. I sure hope we won't have to wait so long for s3. |

| “I’ll have to reserve a seat for myself in hell” Ok this is one of the craziest twists ever in Youjo Senki and I’m torn because on one hand, I love Rudersdorf as a character and the concept of killing your best friend is horrible, BUT he does seem committed to going down this path which’ll ultimately lead to ruin and his death might just be the catalyst needed to end the war. Would never wanna be in Zettour’s position, but I do think he’s probably making the right choice. It is country above everything after all… That’s assuming the leadership are logical, though. They could be dumbasses and double down on things with an even more incompetent general in place of Rudersdorf.. The crazy thing to me is Tanya going from wtf to “wait, this means I can go home soon if we get full military control” lmao so she’s onboard with it. |

| Given the current circumstances, Zettour’s choice—however much it goes against his own morals—is rationally justifiable. Too many lives and resources are at stake for any action to be driven by mere pressure or retaliation. Of course, someone capable of casting a friend aside demonstrates a potential for tyranny—and the last thing the Empire needs right now is an internal organizational crisis—but that is still preferable to being officially branded an enemy of the continent. Societies recover naturally; the same cannot be said for nations as ideological entities. |
