| This seafare adventure gives some classic fantasy vibes. Got to hear some storytelling about Chiyome's background. Definitely felt bad that her parents died. This episode shows that she wants to be stronger because of her past. Her mother was such a brave woman but that story was sad. |

| Tsubone's rendition of Chiyome's backstory was riveting. It's pure tragedy that the ending were Chiyome and Sasuke confessed and joined a kick line was fictitious lol. I enjoyed that moment where Arc and Ariane shared squid puns. |

| Excited to see the gang hit the ocean for an episode...only for it to turn out to be all about Chiyome's backstory and then the kraken fight last less than a minute （；´д｀）ゞ I WANTED TO SEE PIRATE ARC!...didn't mind the backstory as it gave some context around Sasuke...but when the OP showed so much pirate stuff I was hoping for more. |

| Animation is bad as usual, the rest of the episode was mostly Chiyome backstory. I hope they find Sasuke soon so the story can finally progress again. |

| Chiyome’s backstory with Sasuke was nice, glad to get more on her after all this time, and it’s very relevant now because of this current situation with Sasuke. Looking back at how Sasuke was to Chiyome, it’s very hard to believe that he would be evil now, I think it’s gotta be some kind of mind control or manipulation, unless something happened behind the scenes that changed Sasuke this much, but I’m sure it won’t be much longer until we find out what’s exactly going on with him. And the backstory was told courtesy of Tsubone, but she added her own little creative liberties in there lol, honestly I couldn’t even tell what was original and what was fact, she’s a good story teller that Tsubone. And we also got some boat action in this one, I thought we’d get a bit more of it since the OP is pirate themed and all, but it doesn’t make the OP any less cool imo, and hey there was a Kraken too, they beat it really fast but I’ll take it lol. |

| Sad past for Chiyome, but now we know her connection to Sasuke and how she became a strong ninja. I almost felt sorry for that Kraken, it never had a chance and had its parts eaten by the locals. |
