You know Sasaki, I think deodorant would work in situations like this. Unless you're really as dense as Tayama said last episode lmfao. It was a nice little parallel though. Last episode Tayama got reprimanded for smoking, and this episode Sasaki got called out for a similar issue. It's nice seeing how they end up helping each other with their problems instead of just hanging out and chatting all day about Yamada. And ofc, the best part was Tayama getting completely flustered about it near the end there. You love to see it lolol.
Anyways, new girl shows up. Not for the harem or anything, but as a wingwoman, so she’s already fine in my book. Keep going, queen. But about that ethics meter... was it ever even working? It feels like it’s been dead for a while, lol. I was wondering how long it would take before vapes showed up too. And honestly, she looks older than even the old man, so that was a wild card.

Im getting diabetes watching this, Tayama's genuine expressions were so beautiful Goto recognising that dense-saki is getting played sent me lmao, was scared for a sec that she wouldnt let Yamada keep smoking w sasaki. Makes me wonder if the back of the supermarket will be the only place they interact with each other for the forseeable future, i wonder if/when theyll exchange lines or smth. |

| A thought just occurred to me... Is Yamada possibly compartmentalizing to some degree? Like, canonically her reason for changing clothes on her breaks is to keep the cigarette smell off her work uniform, but she seems completely fine with keeping up this charade that she's two different people. So I wonder if that's intentional, where she puts on the ideal-worker persona while working? (Or Japanese workers are just WAY better at leaving every single ounce of their actual personality at the door for the sake of appeasing customer service expectations. I personally can't imagine changing clothes every single time I go on break. That is SO much extra effort.) |

| REVIEW: SMOKING BEHIND THE SUPERMARKET WITH YOU EPISODE 3 | 8.0 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ UNSAID Some romances need a confession to make you feel something. This one makes a deodorant, a gift and a small ashtray feel far more intimate than they should. I was smiling through this entire episode because it never forces the feeling. A casual detail follows Sasaki into his everyday life, then quietly leads him to look for a gift. By the time he decides to give something back, the meaning is already there. No grand speech is needed. Tayama turning that gift into another private game is where this episode really gets me. It is funny on the surface, but every small gesture now carries the weight of what neither of them is ready to say. Gotō makes it even better. She understands the gap between what Sasaki thinks is happening and what is actually forming in front of him. Her looks add another layer without ever making the comedy heavy. Then the ashtray brings them closer before the cut back to Yamada at the register lands perfectly. Funny, awkward and sweeter because the episode refuses to sit in only one emotion. The animation is not what makes this episode stand out. It often relies on held reactions, but the timing of every pause and every look makes their corner behind the supermarket feel like a private world inside an ordinary day. I did not get bored for a second. | I don't like how Sasaki acts like a schoolboy or a ronin from old harem/rom-coms. He's probably been so intimidated by his boss and disgruntled clients at work that he's now afraid to touch a girl, or even talk to her. He's like a cartoonish virgin from an old anime. I wonder how old is he. I like how Yamada looks like a real woman. She has a realistic figure and a very attractive appearance. She's stocky, with a very tasty ass and hips. It is a joy for the soul to watch her movements. I objectify and I don't give a shit. Characters named Gotou are always good. |

| The comparisons between Sasaki and a dog had me laughing. I can completely see why everyone keeps making them, too. He has that same slightly confused, harmless energy, especially when he gets excited or completely misses what is happening right in front of him. |

| New side character brought in in the form of Yamada's manager, and she's great! :3 The initial case of reprimanding for having a customer using the employee smoking area that instantly went out the window the moment she discovered there was the possibility of heart-racing romance moments to be shared xD Sa-slow-ki being impressed with Yamada/Tayama's "mind reading" when it's just a case of simple deduction from knowing how to read people. It'll have been something likely picked up from dealing with customers everyday, especially regulars. Nice to see that while Sasaki continues to be as dense as ever, he is still incredibly thoughtful when it came to picking out that thank you gift for the mist and advise that helped out at work. |
