It’s easy to forget what a huge franchise Boys over Flowers is. I’m just interested in it because it’s a classic shojo. I’m not into J-dramas at all, do you watch many of those?
With a few exceptions, I tend to stay away from isekai. Even if it’s the stuff I usually like, such as slice-of-life or iyashikei, it just seems like a gimmick to veil its blandness.
What's your impression of Attack No. 1? :D It was VERY big in Germany in the 90s and I hope to watch it soon.
I’m looking forward to Suzume. Naturally Shinkai’s films are amazing visually; narratively I don’t find them amazing, but just nice. So far I’ve seen Your Name, Weathering with You and 5 Centimeters per Second. I especially loved the latter, as it doesn’t feel like it tries to do more than it’s able to :P I’m also looking forward especially to his older films.
I’m watching some seasonals, my favourite of which is Witch Hat Atelier. Watching it is a very charming and immersive experience. Apart from seasonals, my favourite thing I’m watching right now is probably Love through a Prism. It’s a really well-written Edwardian-Meiji-era romance set at an art school in London, written by the author of Boys over Flowers. It’s also an anime original; we need more of those in this day and age.
I see you started Pretear! I have actually seen that one, though I wasn’t too impressed by it. But I did love the main character and the opening. What's your impression of it?
Nice catch!
Thanks for asking
It's been a while lol. How are you? So uni has been a lot for me. I can't even remember how I was a few years ago
