Hi, I'm Jack from a small town in Piedmont, Italy, xx years old (I lost count lol) and I have been a fan of Japanese animation since the '90s. I'm not an English native speaker, but I enjoy writing in English.
My favourite kind of anime is the sci-fi/mystery.
I play Visual Novels and I write stories. I'm not good in art and design, but I like to write background for characters and fantasy worlds, so I consider myself an amateur novelist. I'm working on my second novel. It has a strong influence from anime.
I love tv series (UK and USA; Italian television is disappointing: reality show and quiz for family audiences), my favorites are Doctor Who, Sherlock, Lost, 24, Breaking Bad, Fringe and Community.
I'm honest and open minded about life and people. I feel the world as a place for everyone and I think that love is the key to happiness.
I got a degree as a Network technician and IT consultant. It's like eating the apple of knowledge of Information Technology.
Now I'm working full-time in my city, it's not an easy job but I still have free time in weekends and in the evenings, so I can enjoy my hobbies: reading books/comics, watching tv series/anime and playing videogames.
* Just an advice to fellow anime fans: please don't be a fanboy or a hater, use the whole scale 1-10 unless you REALLY like everything you watch. This is what MAL voting means, don't add sublayers of thought. *
* I give votes after at least 3 or 4 episodes and they may even change over time. Don't get mad if I change my vote of a series after 10 years. *

* A consideration about anime and manga *
I really like to watch less popular anime, even ones watched by a few people. There is no need of high sellings to make a great anime.
With manga it's different, I'm entertained by reading popular and longer manga. It's just a chapter after another, a volume after another. I can't get myself annoyed when reading longer manga, even if there is a drop of quality I can go further.
I don't know, it seems like my anime list is very different from my manga list, I don't feel insulted if you consider me a newbie about manga, but I really have an high consideration for this media.
Sometimes using creativity when reading manga can be more effective than watching the full scene animated. Not always, just sometimes.
How I rate anime
First thing first, it's my point of view, I'm not trying to impose my tastes on you, so feel free to disagree but remember it's not wrong because I can't force myself to prefer anime that I don't like.
10: what I consider a masterpiece, sublime combination of story/characters (or for mainstream anime, really memorable fights). Maybe a bit of psychology? I watch and rewatch them for years.
9: great, there are some milestones but also very well reviewed anime I like for some reason. You find a lot more 9 than 10 in my list. Some of them could be 10 but maybe I don't like some contents or characters.
8: very good, it delivers what I expect without doubts, but there could be some personal disappoint (ex: bland ending, boring parts, filler episodes). Still, it's an anime with a lot of effort and I can't discard it.
7: good, for me 7 is not a bad rating at all. It could be a half-bad porting of a visual novel/manga or a half-good anime with some faults. In extreme cases, there is a chance I give 7 to a great anime with themes that I usually skip.
6: it's okay, at least I don't think I've wasted all of my time on this. You'll never see me recommending anime that I give 6 to other people. But I know some of them can be good for others.
5: bad, maybe a waste of time. Usually I get angry when there are interesting bases but bad development or a non-sense script.
4: really annoying, I don't even want to talk about anime I give this rating because there is nothing to say.
2-3: jokes, I ask myself how can they produce anime of this kind. Some of them are justified. Trust me, I'm very calm, but I get angry when I think that I'm wasting my free time. It really pisses me off.
1: never gave one. I think I'll give 1 to an anime which will force me to drop japanese animation for weeks. I seriously hope it will never happen.
Thanks for reading.

Totally agree, the production quality during the demon encounters was unreal! The spell effects, the speed, and the sheer impact of every strike felt straight out of a feature film. "Aura, kill yourself" has to be one of the most chillingly badass moments in recent anime history haha.
Balancing that hype with MT's deep character-driven story makes this such a peak time for fantasy fans.
Bringing up Clannad: After Story is spot on! Stories that actually explore life after the romance starts and dive deep into family weight are so rare and special. MT handles that transition so organically.
That dragon fight with Stark was absolute peak cinema! The sound design and weight behind his axe swing were insane. The series only gets better from here on out.
And huge respect for adding Roxy to your top 10! Truly a person of culture haha, she absolutely deserves that spot ^//^
Exactly, that element of surprise is what makes it hit so hard! MT is a masterclass in giving you a false sense of security right before everything changes.
Stark is the best, his coward-turned-badass moments are so relatable, and the party dynamic becomes top tier once he's in. Plus, since you're around episode 7/8, you're right on the verge of some of the most insane animation sequences in modern fantasy. Have fun with the rest of it!
The anticipation is the best part, so my lips are sealed on when it happens lol! The way the story balances lighthearted adventures with looming threats is peak MT.
Starting Frieren is an incredible choice! It handles time, melancholy, and fantasy tropes in such a poetic and refreshing way. How many episodes in are you?
Roxy's return was definitely a highlight, had a huge grin on my face during that scene! Exactly, it’s all about context and intent. Keeping it raw just makes the stakes and character dynamics feel real rather than gratuitous.
Couldn't agree more. MT is a pioneer for a reason, and keeping the adaptation raw and uncensored is definitely what gives the character growth real impact.
Exactly! The world-building just makes everything feel grounded and natural to its setting. Bringing up Tomino is a great point too, people often forget how common these tropes have always been.
The weekly wait is definitely painful once you catch up haha. Accepted the friend request, happy to connect with a fellow fan!
Roxy supremacy all the way haha! it really never gets boring, despite so many people hating the show for the lewd mc and harem drama lol. enjoy the watch! ~

There are so many moving parts right now, especially with Orsted and Hitogami lurking in the background. The build-up this season is insane!
