It's about the quality of the product. If you haven't noticed certain services are reducing their effort to try and increase their profit. I don't really take part in that part of the fandom anymore where people want to discuss an episode in-depth after they see it, so there isn't really a strong need for me to keep up with the airing of every show I want to see (unless I just really want to see it as soon as I can).

The director was different for every episode is my understanding, so it comes out more like a series of individual stories instead of a cohesive show.

Yes. I said I was going to. I was just waiting for a release I wanted.
Unfortunately I'm back on web for the second season. There's been changes in the BD supposedly. But the BD for season two won't be fully released until next year, and I didn't want to wait since season one ended right in the middle of a story arc.

Yeah, the beginning was slow and boring...

I don't recommend watching any drama series on Apple TV+ then.

but it got much better later on.
