I've been re-watching Twilight Venom soon after playing Wild Arms 2 in Japanese.
Now I've been busier with Silent Möbius manga than ever before. Yes, I'm getting the gist now. Getting used to reading my first RAW manga.
I used to watch the '98 adaptation back when I was 13 years old and I'm glad that I've gotten a chance to read its sequel from 10 years ago.
I also remember the day I watched Dot Hack Sign when I was in the seventh grade. That anime that normies hate happened to be the anime I re-watched the third time when I was very sick several years ago.
That is, happy birthday milady!
Happy 35th birthday to Holly wherever she and her family are at.
So far, my Japanese has been adequate after several months of learning. I hope to have fluency by April.
Ah yes! May Kia Asamiya have a wonderful birthday as well. Definitely one of my favorite mangaka besides Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (my smexy, semitomboyish friend's favorite as well; absolutely loves Rose of Versailles), Masamune Shirow and Yasuhiro Nightow.
My Japanese has been making more progress and I'm loving every minute of Grandia HD.
I heard that many people lost their jobs recently. Of course, because of AI and outsourcing. Good thing that I don't work in tech jobs.
Aside from homesteading and pottery, I also aim to be the Jack of all trades.
Sometimes, I like to call the PhD the Jack of all trades degree. I'm at an age where I feel like taking education very seriously.
I couldn't graduate as an honors student back in my high school days like my friend Jasmine (a huge Rose of Versailles fangirl who speaks German), but I try to look at my bright side. Yes, I'm a late bloomer when it comes to real intellect.
It is sometimes said that people get superpowers like supergenius intellect very late so not everyone can be a child prodigy like Gear from Static Shock, Mozart or Blaise Pascal.
How was your Christmas Day?
I'm loving my Oxford Japanese Grammar and Verbs book. I Couldn't get the Zebra Z-Grip Flight, but plain old Z-Grips are still amazing. The ink never skips and my right hand loves it so it's a good product.
Guess I'll have to wait until next year before I get the Z-Grip Flight. With those lovely colors and quality Indian ink.
I've had enough of seafood. I just want my iron roasted, beef and bell peppers back.
7018 AC is my other best present and I'll definitely need it in case my iron cookware breaks.
I don't plan on being Amish, but I do plan on being a homesteader one day. As soon as I get my steam generator (similar principle as a bicycle generator I often hear about; I don't think steam locomotives needed that much maintenance), lithium ion batteries, inverter and AC panel. One thing Holly and I still have in common is that we appreciate older technology that we often heard about in history class.
Yes, Black Friday may not be your thing, but I'm happy that I got a Maped Visio pack for my left hand. As you can see, I have great appreciation for analog technology.
Other than that, I got hundreds more jōyō kanji left to cover which is sixth grade vocabulary stuff in China. Those Chinese kids are in luck, being able to know all 1,945/3,000 of those characters throughout all those years in Mandarin class.
Only Yamato and Asuka period Japanese kids know how exhausting it was to memorize 60,000 Chinese characters.
I think that said early Aquarius girl from Ohio or my first girlfriend is a mother by now. That Holly went from being a jolly, hospitable tomboy to an Amish. Pretty much a mom at this point and raising a kid in Amish land makes perfect sense.
She would be an average American woman possibly going through a tough life if she hadn't turned Amish. Being a grown up can be tough. I do kind of miss the tomboyish Holly I used to spend time with. We used to respect each other equally when we were very young until it was time to say goodbye.
Sounds like your child may have a similar birthday to my Italian friend that I haven't seen in ages. We used to talk about anime we both liked until stuff happened in her home Italy. I remember Kare Kano and Ghost in the Shell being some of her favorite manga. She would have loved Dominion Tank Police because her beloved Masamune Shirow wrote that manga.
She would be 34 tomorrow, but other than that, I hope that you had an amazing Black Friday.
Aside from reading Silent Möbius QD, I also intend to play Wild Arms 2 in its original language because Sony didn't translate it right.
Wild Arms 4 sucks by the way. Instead of being true to the western genre like Trigun, Outlaw Star, Twilight Venom and Cowboy Bebop, it ended up being another pseudo sci-fi RPG.
I know nothing about Wild Arms 2 yet, but I know that its true to the western genre and so did part 3.
