I really like your favorites, is Monster your favorite anime?

Can you imagine if Miura died right at the start of Fantasia, like right after The Great Wave of the Astral World?

Everyone would be so hyped, and then if Mori tried to continue how Fantasia started, I can only imagine:

Gonna be honest, that whole opening part of Fantasia IS my least favorite part of the series. It's a pretty radical gear shift and it's known as the infamous "boat part" for a reason. But that was all real Miura; guy wrote that himself, and just imagine the backlash to it if Mori had tried to do it after his death like he's doing now. Suddenly all these Berserk fanatics would be saying how it doesn't fit, even though it was Miura's vision.

I legit don't get the backlash to the new chapters. They don't feel abridged to me whatsoever or really anything wrong. The first two, kinda, but after that, it was fine from then on. And all these unclear parts like with Rakshas being back, what happened to him, what happened in the Stupa... THAT'S ALWAYS BEEN BERSERK. We aren't spoon-fed answers right away. Hell, Miura didn't even address the random Bakiraka death squad in the Golden Age until the very end of Ganishka, some 20 damn years later.

really need (Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki) https://myanimelist.net/manga/60095/ for your 'romance manga that will make you believe in love again' stack, that series reminds me of how pure and honest teenage love is, also puts (Ase to Sekken) https://myanimelist.net/manga/117840/ because it's peak romance. I would also recommend (Love Roma) https://myanimelist.net/manga/413/ on there a lot and also (Species Domain) https://myanimelist.net/manga/61243/ because it's one of the most well-done 'so this feeling is love' moments. oh yea this one (Sekitou Elegy) https://myanimelist.net/manga/16019/ is solid too though the have quite an 'oldschool' comedy feeling to it but from what I've read, there's a nice 'relatable' feelings on it.

Aw thank you ! Appreciate it ;) , eruri has to be one of my favorite ships as you can see lol. Made the stacks just to spread some anime recs out if someone interested in some of the subtext/ insinuated relationships doesn’t know of any of them yet. I literally can’t believe people don’t see any of the signs of a relationship that a mangaka makes when it’s painfully obvious.

Thank you!! I know what you mean by “straight with exception tropes” they are common in bl manga unfortunately. It’s good the author didn’t stumble into that pitfall. I sure hope more bl adaptations follow in its footsteps
