Damn, Stella's emotions are getting more intense with this episode's game. Can't blame her after what she's been through and knowing that Araki is involved.

Cruz seems to be manipulating Araki throughout this game.

Well, let's see how long it will take for Araki to get back to the "hood" side. Although I hope there will be something more interesting happening along side that plot.

This episode makes me more curious about the meteorite that started everything, Araki's new team leader isn't even a human.

Araki? More like BUMraki. What a foolish boy. Bro just stands there like a broken toy, never saying anything, never being proactive, and constantly letting other people push him around and tell him what to do. You're the fucking protagonist, ffs, you absolute bum.

I swear, Stella should've been the protagonist instead, while BUMraki should've been relegated to a side character. At least she'd actually move the story forward. This dude is just there taking up protagonist real estate. Nonsense. Idiot.

@CheliosX Araki is a broken character, since the beginning. His story reveal will be the final and most important plot. Stella didn't want to be free and was only interested in the games, she being the MC would turn this anime in a slice of life.

Broken character that's a puppet, sure. eh, I'll wait and see, but I still see him as BUMraki and what I said still stands currently. nicely said, though.

@CheliosX Your opinion is valid. I see nothing wrong in it.

Despite my own badmouthing of Araki due to certain actions of his in a prior episode where he leaned heavily into the stereotypical trope of the meek and passive socially anxious character who causes extreme drama always just by virtue of their poor to non-existent communication, I still wanted to see him and his new team crush his former team into fine granular particles of mebius dust and then some. Stella and Olga are just so arrogant and self-righteous, it makes me actively want to root against whatever side they're on and whatever effort they're behind at every turn. The punch which was directed at Araki was more of a taste of something of greater magnitude I wanted to see leveled their way even if by way of one of the game opponents' attack moves. Lightning to the face, or to the hair, if you will.

The only aspect of this side plot which has been building and now sort of merged into the main plot surrounding this ghost girl - that's just it. Is it actually a girl or I thought that there was some throwaway line in passing in an earlier episode (or maybe I'm even conflating it with a random user comment from someone which has nothing to do with the show itself) alluding to the fact that it was in fact instead a boy? If that's actually the case, then a ridiculous character design choice as between the longer hair, frilly feminine clothes, and female seiyuu, you'd never know.

I don't think I can blame Stella for feeling that way, Araki erased and manipulated his memory, but I could easily blame Olga for reacting that way with so much hatred and anger forgetting what Araki actually did for the Polis Hoppers. They didn't even ask him for explanations, they went straight to blame him and push him away. Normal that he then joins the group of a person who actually seems to care about him, even if surely that person is manipulating him and even if he seems to care about Araki (I'm talking about Cruz). This is an episode that completely changes the cards of the plot, I have mixed emotions about it. As much as I think the plot twist came completely random and was staged indecently, I think that here the construction of the characters is quite good. They are teen who in a situation of strong crisis and emotionality avoid confrontation.
