 The official website for the television anime adaptation of Amara's Neko to Ryuu (The Cat and the Dragon) light novel revealed supporting cast, a key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video on Saturday. The anime series will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and Yomiuri TV in July 2026.Cast Mama Nyan: Kikuko Inoue (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) Shirotae: Fuuka Izumi (Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu!) Kurobane: Show Hayami (Isekai Nonbiri Nouka) Haibuchi: Noriaki Sugiyama (Ramen Akaneko) Chikuro: Maki Kawase (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 3rd Season) Kurotama: Shinnosuke Tokudome (Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku) Jin-Gu Oh (Ooi! Tonbo) is helming the anime at OLM. Mitsutaka Hirota (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) is handling the series composition. Chiaki Kurakazu (Pokemon (2023) animation director) and Rie Nishino (Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin) are designing the characters, while Takahiro Obata (Yakusoku no Neverland) is composing the music. Amara began writing the fantasy story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September 2013. Takarajimasha began publishing the light novel in April 2016, with illustrations by Mai Okuma. The ninth volume was released in November 2025. A manga adaptation by Izumi Sasaki began serializing on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Web in September 2017. The 11th volume went on sale in November 2025.
