| Despite all the many chinese and korean works and media on MyAnimeList, as well as avant-garde abstract works, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is still not listed on that site. The term "anime" doesn't have any meaning, it seems. I just don't understand why this is the case. It is a Japanese animation made by Science Saru, a well-respected and well-known Japanese studio. The show was a major thing, and quite a success, and this nonsensical discrimination is just self sabotage. |

| Still mad about this. I return to this club because it's missing a listing. It's a great show and subversion, not just an adaptation, but a whole new story using the talents of Science Saru. It's a great top tier show that commentates on the original story that works on it's own. Giving Ramona a true character arc is much more profound and challenging, about growing up even in adulthood. |
