 Boichi, the manga artist behind Dr. Stone, began a new manga titled The Marshal King on the Shounen Jump+ web magazine on Friday. The action-packed Western tale took the top spot on the platform's Friday rankings, surpassing 500,000 views. Set in a lawless era dominated by outlaws, The Marshal King follows Jim Godspeed, the son of the legendary criminal M. Godspeed, who wielded a fabled "golden arm." After supposedly slaying his own father, Jim drags an enormous iron coffin containing his father's body across the desert, seeking entry into the Western Federal Marshal Training Academy. When a group of marshals tries to take credit for capturing M. Godspeed, Jim displays superhuman strength, using the coffin itself as a weapon to defend his claim. Boichi, known for his works Sun-Ken Rock and Origin, has also illustrated One Piece: Episode A (One Piece: Ace's Story), which follows the backstory of Ace.
