| Man... I wasn't expecting this movie to have a fanbase of know it all elitists. I came here to see what everyone thought about that ending. Here's what I got from it with only 1 watch:

| Just completed it but heres what I gor in the film. 1. Rumi is the killer. 2. Me-mania was her stalker. 3. Rumi manipulates the stalker by pretending that "she is the real mima" and deeply hates Mima's decision to be an actress, which develops her mental state of "wanting to save Mima" and "by replacing Mima" because she was a previous pop idol and failed. 4. Me-mania is the one who created the Mima-room, and Rumi was the one who was talking to the stalker and urging him that Mima needs "saving". 5. Stalker killed Scriptwriter. 6. Rumi killed the stalker because Me-mania is starting to get caught. 7. Rumi killed both her manager and the photographer because of how "they defiled Mima" in her perspective. 8. Rumi tried killing Mima because she finally developed a dual personality, and she was "Mima the Idol," and there cannot be only one Mima alive. 9. The hallucination parts are blurry for a reason because it was portrayed like that because we are looking at Mima's perspective of the situation, and how messy her mental state was at that time. |

| Okay so I was kind of annoyed how everyone here seems to act like they knew everything and was just saying to watch again... I was initially confused, mainly because everyone experiencing similar illusions made no sense to me and did rewatch parts but that didn't help. In the episode discussion thread someone mentioned the drugs being put in the water. It could be that Rumi was describing everything that happened to Mima in her sleep and that caused her brain to dream about the details (especially considering the followup movie Paprika) and that she really was experiencing illusions because of the drugs but with influence from what Rumi kept feeding her in her sleep, sort of like brainwashing. It's possible that the trauma she experienced, along with the drugs she did actually develop a mental illness (since that last scene seemed weird if she were to have stopped taking the drugs). EDIT: Ah actually she starts hallucinating before the scene takes place, on the train, which would discredit what I previously suggested, however the train scene could have been many days after the news of the script. It's also possible Rumi was collaborating with the stalker from the beginning of when she changed careers in order to try and scare her away from acting and back to being a pop-idol. |

| When I was looking for this movie on some tracker, I met a Russian guy who's convinced the entire film is just scenes from a movie (or movies) where Mima acts. All the murders and all that. That's his theory. But I think that jerk just watched the movie with his ass and didn't get it. |
