Why this show is rated 6.35 man....... It's definitely way better than that, atleast a 7.1

Honestly comments complaining about how stupid these three are only see things that way in hindsight, if you see things from their perspective you'll find that what they did makes sense, regardless of whether or not they believed Yokoya's men, depositing 300 millions to your personal account is a huge advantage in terms of winning, you'd need to look at the bigger picture in order to notice the psychological trap behind it, they didn't think about the country's account because they're selfish, plain and simple, of course this makes them arguably worse as people, but I personally find their behavior believable, it's selfishness and short-sightedness, not stupidity.

Also tune in next week for one of the most brilliant episodes in the series.

@LeaseDue in akiyama's plan, he said to offer the traitor compensation money. yokoya uses the same plan but before akiyama, but the jesus dude never mentioned about the compensation money. did he? i wonder what the 3 were thinking.

about the rules, it was explained in episode 11 under an analogy "you have to smuggle money before the war starts.", the dealer asks what happen once war starts and Fukunaga replies "it becomes enemy's money".

They weren't offered any special compensation for helping with this scheme.
The motivation was 'to piss off Yokoya' and that's it.
They did all this for no gain for themselves.

Or maybe all 3 were lying via ommision about their compensation, but somehow, they convinced everyone that it was merely a 'silly mistake' when there was no gain whatsoever outwardly. Also really dumb writing-wise.

The 300 million is added to the player's personal account, meaning they have more money to spare while playing smuggler/inspector, if they've been playing the game normally that'd be a huge advantage in terms of winning the game, before Akiyama brought up the importance of the countries' accounts that was all that mattered to the players.
In other words what these three did was helping the team win, but the twist they couldn't see is that it was losing them money by the end.

Notice how they DIDN'T tell their team about it. You know, to celebrate the 'massive team win'?
Without telling anyone, they literally can't cash out all the money cuz they take equal turns, <- another thing they conveniently forgot.

It's like the writer made this up as he went because in hindsight, it made no sense for all 3 of them to not tell their team about the 'big win'.
Actually, this manga was apparently somewhat episodic, so it's possible the writer really did make this up as he went. So it was decent reading the manga as it got updated, but when reading it all as a whole, it's full of plot holes.

And notice how the jesus guy put it. The extra 'not actual win' money was just a side benefit Which isn't actual winnings. "I want your help to piss off Yokoya" was their main selling point somwhow.

Again, all 3 of them acted the EXACT same way. I can understand 1 or 2.

For me, it captured the sense of wonder being erased from the world by the system, questioning sexuality, living in a reality shaped by fear and indoctrination, totalitarianism and, for whatever reason, the outside world continuing on. It captures the perfect mood for me. I have two kids - very little - and I wonder the themes Sanda presents regularly in a not so distant future. How do we fight the system? How do we instill joy? What do we do to fight screens and brainwashing by the government while maintaining a family?

Liar Game's just... shallow. You can't really dig deeper into it except, "everyone here is dumb but {{ main_character }}," and it's a failure. Sanda's an unfair comparison - your thoughts may differ - when Liar Game is discussed. One teaches you something, anything at all - the other just... is here.

How would you know something like that? It doesn't appear that you have read the manga.

@Lucifrost I gave an example in an earlier comment regarding a scene at the start of episode 1 where the LG invitation didn't have it's T&C outside the box of money yet causes the T&C to apply the moment you open the box.

It felt totally off so I checked the manga and indeed, the manga DID have the T&Cs out there. Meaning Nao reasonably messed up by not reading rather than getting conned unavoidably which was the case in the show. Completely changes the tone of the show right off the bat.

If there is a such a big tone altering difference right at the start (that woldn't even need additional run time), it's reasonable to assume much more later on. Most of my arguments involve denying points of details made by manga viewers which I often fail to see in the anime adaptation even on slow mo rewatch. Hence, my conclusion.

The anime simply didn't have a lot of the details that would've explained or foreshadowed a lot of important plot points. It could be a runtime limitation. We would never know.

Liar Game T&C do not explain or foreshadow anything of significance. You're the only one who cares.

It explains to Nao to NOT open the envelope. ONLY open the envelope if you wish to participate.
Nao didn't read and there is even line where she laments not reading in hindsight. (meaning it's not some unimportant background detail that the MC doesn't acknowledge).
None of these are present in the anime. In the anime, Nao just gets straight up conned by bullshit outside of her control.

Agency is the whole theme of the show and games. People only lose because they make bad choices (usually due to greed).
Otherwise, the show is basically saying "Whatever you do, you can still get screwed over by the plot. your actions don't matter. Everything is scripted".
Remember, this show wants to lean very heavily on this theme based on how the games are structures. They want people to think it's their own fault they lost (and it's supposed to be).

Anyway, this is just 1 example. Just that it happens basically at the very very start despite being such a simple thing to include.

@EscapismToTheMax I think his question was related to all the money in the ATM and transfer them all to other ATM if I guess correctly. With less rounds, it looks harder and less unpredictable to smuggle 100 million through the inspection phase after all the money go to another ATM
