| Studio NUT are taking it omg they knew they had to come back with a movie like action sequence after 7 years of waiting for more Youjo senki and they delivered. My fave mentally unstable fascist military leader is BACK. Felt like we never left and I love how they had a lot of stuff from the movie referenced right off the bat to keep the continuity strong. Lmaoo not Tanya trying to be nice to everyone now because she knows she’s fighting a losing battle atp and her future might come down to their testimony 😭 I’m really excited to see how things play out now because we know Germany lost irl, so what can she do when resources and manpower are low and winter is setting in on the eastern front? The one X factor is Germany didn’t have HER. |

| I had already forgotten how close this scenario was to the actual world war back then, with the countries being all similar and stuff. Was a good first episode, Tanya showed everyone was she's made of. Her smiling is much scarier though than her usual demeanor xD |
| Forgot how much of a creep Loria is in this. The Salamander battlegroup in all its glory is finally here. Though as with all newly formed units training them so that they are able to work in coordination is gonna be the first priority. Man that has to be a first in that Tanya 1v4 and shot all them down and one with a combat knife. Tanya's critique was right on point. From a strategic view when fighting enemies that have much more higher quality troops than you do alliances are your best friend. The lull before any contact is always the worst. Tanya's situation sure is a interesting one. Maintain the balance or be branded either a hero or a scapegoat. |

| nightmare nightmare nightmare nightmare nightmare Tanya Degurechaff has finally gotten her second season!!! After years of being overshadowed and almost forgotten by most anime fans, not helped by the 7 year gap since the release of the Movie, the Devil of the Rhine and now the head of the Salamander is back. And oh my god, I forgive Studio Nut for taking years to put this out, because they've made this show more cleaner and more enjoyable to watch. For as much as I appreciate the original art for its gritty and clunky appeal, I'm so happy that they changed up the design this time. And not just that, the 3DCG is more fluid, the magic power-ups are also better this time, and the little details are so well-done that I almost forgot this is Studio Nut doing this. What a welcome change animation and art-wise. Now on the other stuff, Tanya sitting on a chair like that lowkey an odd scene to look at. Maybe we're just so used to seeing Tanya on the skies every battle, that seeing her lead the charge from a chair on a safe building was a bit weird to process. Also whoever that communist ahh ugly bastard looking dude, his obsession of the kid is not needed, no thank you. And Mary Sue, for as much as she's been given importance to the story, her character is seriously lacking in depth that I can't take her seriously. Overall, the war is back and it must continue! |

| This is 100% not based on the First and Second World Wars, nor the Cold War. It's just pure coincidence that Josef and Churbull exist in this story. Wink wink. Maomao Tanya is back with fire in her eyes! And she has to deal with incompetence and God. Typical issues in her wars. I did my best to catch up with this one. I haven't watched the movie yet, but I can kinda know what's going on here, given the "coincidences". This one, compared to the first season and the pasta special, looks amazing! It looks like a movie. Tanya is still terrifying when she talks like a kid with a big innocent smile 🥲 |

| difficult position but i liked seeing the somewhat historical accuracy towards the prevailing conditions and of course the animation was good. I do question Tanya's decision there because I (an army veteran) would have made a different decision (wildly different) but It seems Tanya is more taken by getting field experience than actual strategy. for now. |

| Someone please pinch me, because I think I might be dreaming. This actually happened, right? Youjo Senki actually got its second season after 9 years? Plot wise.. pinning down Tanyas quick response mage battalion by making her babysit infantry, artillery and tanks seems questionable. Give her a second mage battalion which she can train up and you get way more bang.. Obviously Mary is still around. I dont know how to feel about that. I hope she doesnt evade death a dozen times. |

| Glad I rewatched S1 rather recently. S2 is not only long overdue, it's also is off to a great start, with a surprising amount of comedy to boot. Tentative 8/10, will probably increase if they keep this up. |

first episode not only has an adequate budget, but it also combines drama with action and comedy very well. This will be my 2nd most anticipated weekly episode of the season

| I watched the first season from 2017 back in the winter and early months of 2022 (rather than when it aired as I wasn't watching seasonals at all back then) along with the 2021 ONA straight after and have only revisited it a few parts of it sporadically, so I'm glad that I didn't end up watching the film until today as it really sucked me back into the world and put me in the proper mindset. Watching the 2019 film only around six hours before I watched this first episode of season two, events which transpired in it were really at the forefront of my mind, yet that not withstanding, I didn't really expect to see the Lavrentiy Beria analogue or much of the Federation's/Soviet Union analogue's top leadership appear so soon or that Tanya would be ordered back into combat in the east at all yet. I obviously know well what happened by the film's end, but figured there would still be some training and adjustment period with these disparate cobbled together units and branches of the military before active deployment. Although that could have been skipped over for time and being seen as not the meat of the story. |

| Back in the front lines soldier! All of Tanyas new recruits are useless, makes sense since they didn't go through the same training as the originals, lol... Tanya is still just as deranged, and we got the evil smile back!! Also, that russian dude rubbing his finger on tanyas photo and sucking it creeped me out... the spit was so well rendered, gave me the chills.  Tanyas fights had just as many wallpaperable moments as usual Seeing the other soldiers creeped out by Tanya laying it on thick trying to better her reputation was funny. also... that propaganda poster?...
