Its hard to get used to how Sanda wants to be this savior to everyone when i am used ot MCs that are realists. So watching the last minutes of the episode was a breath of fresh air

A first kiss in episode 10 while it isn't even a romance anime? That's rare. Then we follow it up with Sanda eating bullets followed by hugging his opponents unconscious, sometimes it seems like this show can't get any weirder, although I'm sure it can prove me otherwise. Pair the weirdness with an interesting theme about the struggles of growing up and it seems to somehow work. Also rare for a shounen anime to showcase a lesbian relationship to this extend (even though it doesn't seem to be working out so well). All in all, I'm curious what the anime will offer in the last two episodes.

Between Yagiuda hysterically laughing at a love confession and Sanda trying to suck Niko's soul out of her body, I'm not sure which experience feels more embarrassing.

And also... can someone slap Ono, please? Girl grew some boobs and automatically acts as if she has been an adult for decades. Man, it's so annoying.

@GX5000 yeah, they definitely should. Wow, You're watching anime at 62. I wish I would be the same as you when I reach you age, haha.
@Niwaka-Samurai
My wife prefers Manga though...
I grew up watching Ultraman and Speed Racer on TV in the 60's.
A friend at the Japanese consulate passed on Betas to me in the late 80's so we got to watch Space force and the graveyard of the fireflies early on.
Then I got really sick in 2010 and started Downloading and watching many to pass the time since TV was getting awful.
Anime got me through 9 years of pain, best medicine out there!

@GX5000 Look, man. Thematically this shit is a tough sell, if you were going to sit down and explain the premise to anybody of any age group. And it is controversial, albeit in a "kind of innocent way" to some degree.

That being said, when taken in full context (which someone would really have to sit down and watch a few episodes to be able to effectively do) you realize that the goddamned thing is actually pretty brilliant.

Between "Sanda", "Ruri and Gachiakuta", I'm pretty satisfied with 2025's offerings, all and all.
@Ken_Washio
Meanwhile I'm just sitting here waiting for Sayonara Sensei Future Tense and a new Bakemonogatari.

What I meant is that Sanda would hit you in a different way after raising a few kids (all married and in their late 30's now).
I'll gladly ignore the Political backdrop as I do the Spy vs Family (Cold War Berlin).

Bro Sanda sucked her whole face wtf was that lmao
Man... poor Ono, she is stuck in this dilemma of children and adult. Honestly, the show doesn't really explained it very well cause I'm still confused, Ono is still a kid? But mentally and adult? Or the other way around? Im so lost in that regard.
Santa hugging people to unconsciousness seems pretty on point for him lol.

Great episode!

@SouthRzVa
But that's what makes it tragic, right? A 14 year old girl is literally forced to grow up. She looks different, she looks "mature" and everyone treats her as such. The principal says they're "equals", her relationship with Fuyumura is changing and feels distant. She's completely alienated all because she grew up.

So if she's seen as an adult, then she feels a need to play the part but that makes her more childish in a way. There's many children out there who feel like they need to grow up and be mature but they're still kids at the end of the day. Kids like that are a caricature of what they think being an adult is.

I was kinda in the same boat as you early on. Why is she acting like she's so mature now? Her body changed, not her mind. But she's not mature! This is what she thinks being an adult is. She thinks she needs to sacrifice her wants and desire. It's what an adult does right?

The Peak of Youth Ceremony is a pretty significant milestone for 15-year-olds, but as Yagiuda's history shows, him rejecting his partner that in turn ruined his youth, and advising both Sanda and Ayama to take their ceremony seriously, it's words of wisdom from an adult who's got his life wasted, that he doesn't wish for the kids to be the same like him. That said, the Ceremony's decorations all light and ready for the event, just when Namatame is also prepping for her assault on Sanda that Yagiuda prompts taking a look into, him protecting Sanda would be the last thing on his mind as an adult. However, in a similar way, Niko just casually giving Sanda her first kiss, and his wanting for another kiss that ends up being more than a French kiss for that, it's Yagiuda's life that's in danger of Namatame targeting him, for Santa to come saving him instead.

Sanda as Black Santa facing the entirety of Class 10 giving all of them hugs in place of his physical fight, it's a Santa Claus tactic alright that does as minimal damage as he intended. However, Namatame would not stop at just the classic cliché to target Sanda until one dies, and the gunshots catching Fuyumura's attention to abandon Ono on the spot, her thinking that she did not have any romantic feelings for her in the first place, as Oshibu has surmised of her adult transformation. And it seems that while Sanda's training with Ayama did prove useful trying to shoot Santa down, it instead puts them in a stalemate, as is Ono having second thoughts about her rather fast maturity.

Maturity is hard to navigate for this one...

What an intense episode! Santa's hug-a-thon with Class 10 was crazy. xD

I feel so bad for Ono, though. She's turned into the most interesting character of the show for me. That final shot of her was haunting.

Nice kiss, they both were surprised. I have a feeling Ono will become one of those super annoying characters. The adult kids things are getting ridiculous though.

Ono’s situation keeps getting worse. She knows Fuyumura is still just a child, yet she keeps forcing her to accept her love as if she were an adult. That’s honestly really unsettling, and I’m worried about what she might do next.
As for Santa, I guess his training is actually paying off. He can at least defend himself against the children now, but Fuyu doesn’t seem satisfied at all.

It's time for the festival of the eternal youth. Sanda has his first kiss with Nico and he didn't die so I guess this whole thing the hitman said to him was just a lie, I also noticed that he has been proyecting a lot in Sanda.

Not even as black Santa he can hurt children so he has no alternative other than just bear the punishment. That girl Namatame is just wanting for someone to put her in her place and if Sanda doesn't do that she will be like that forever, getting away with everything, doing whatever she wants unable to fill the void.

I thought Namatame was going to shoot Ono but I forgot that she isn't fully adult yet. About her, she wanted to see the sunset with Fuyumura to remember that moment forever but sadly it couldn't be. I was right about what she did that in the past episode, she wanted to clarify her feelings and Fuyumura's and now she realized that her love is more mature than Fuyumura's so it's incompatible, they aren't the same anymore, I guess she has no other option but to resign unless the principal convinced her of something.

I guess Fuyumura will save Sanda again, crazy how a child can just shoot an adult and no one can intervene.
