| finally got to watch the anime and will say the manga is much better but i still enjoyed seeing some og the series animated but i was hoping it was longer cause what was animated while still good the stuff to come is even crazier and really good so im hoping for more anime cause i would really like to see a lot of the later games animated well till then and for now will keep enjoying the manga |

| Had so much fun with all this trickery going on and how many plot twists that keep happening. The mc sure made the anime more fun to watch with how smart and wicked he is and how he keeps changing his personality every time lol 8/10, definitely want a season 2 |

| this episode proves that yuuichhi He is a insane highstake strategist & he prioritize Friends above all & his love for his adoptive mother. really this needs Season 2 Announcement ASAP. enjoyed this anime a lot for real. |

| Decent show, ended on a cliffhanger -_- not sure how those thugs knew they were involved in the tomodachi game or how they got their phone number, especially since its supposed to be super secretive and all... 7/10, needs season 2!!!! |
| This show is really hard to rate off this first cour. The finale was great and the rest had its moments but there was some other stuff I found a bit weird or contrived. I'd like to see more. |

| Yikes, that was horrific to watch, so many lame moments and dialogue with nothing of a substance really, it was 7 at best but this episode made it so cringe worthy but it did really highlight the writing weakness, as soon as the story stepped out of its element everything went to shit I don't think the writer really captured human emotions and their despair in any realistic or deep way it was just the usual embarrassing, childish edgy scenarios and "it couldn't be!" moments and not an actual methodological and comprehensive high-risk games maybe it is deliberate to appeal yet again to the shounen demographic, I don't know who etched it in their minds that this is a good writing style There was some interesting moments here and there but are mainly ruined by the repetitive comments about Yuichi and how "deviously smart" he is especially that Tsukino woman then adding insult to injury explaining his "method" for 5 minutes for us cause we can't comprehend it otherwise lol All of that is fine if someone is new to "psychology" genre -although this isn't much really- but for me, it was a mere pathetic attempt at the far superior anime that is Kaiji I wouldn't mind a 2nd season but if the later chapters are more of the same, telling us how brilliant Yuichi is, then they can save it |

| Yuuichi didn't get to cut off even one of Kurokis fingers. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. . . . That cliffhanger is unfortunate though. Yuuichi side-lined, Shiho missing, Makoto blamed for the murder (that he probably caused himself) of his own father, Tenji still talking. And even though I get why Yuuichi said those things to Yutori that was really harsh. Even half of that would have made the point and achieved the same. Hope he apologizes properly later on and the writers don't just swipe that situation away just because he saved her now. |
| full circle. Yuichi showed what true friendship was this episode by defending Kokorogi and inevitably Kokorogi and Tenji took on the game on his behalf. What a crazy way to end the series, I thought it was the end for sure but this is just scraping the surface. What an interesting and engaging series it has been !!! |

| Not the biggest fan of how this ended, especially the very last scene, but I am looking forward to another season! Idk if another season is in the works atm, but I really hope we get one soon, especially since the manga ended like 2 years ago now I think. Overall I give this an 8 out of 10. When I first saw this I immediately wrote it off as a Squid Game clone but as an anime, but I'm glad it wasn't 1:1 and did something different. It's not perfect of course but I found it interesting enough to finish it in like two days which doesn't happen too often for me. I wonder though, did Shiho's father organize that "special" game? I mean, the phone call from last episode definitely makes it seem that way, and yet management didn't seem too happy about someone impersonating them. I'm sure he's involved with the Tomodachi Game in some way, so does that mean he decided to go against management's back and host that game to get back at how Shiki talked to him? They really didn't seem to happy about it. Also what's up with Shiho? Is she in on the whole game or not? What about Shibe? Did he actually kill his dad, or did management kill him for trying to shut them down? I have so many questions, but they'll have to wait for the next season, whenever that comes out. Looking forward to it! :D |

| The Yutori hostage dilemma there almost seemed like an anime original, just because there was no time for a full game. Moreover, Yuuichi was uncharacteristically altruistic there too, because you would surely expect that Yutori would be sympathetic enough to do a humiliating, but ultimately harmless naked dance over letting Yuuichi's hand be stabbed three times. It's really hard to overstate the long-term effects that can have, especially if muscles, tendons or nerves are damaged (and they probably will be). However cold Yuuichi's past self supposedly was, he's far too self-sacrificing for me to take it at face value, no matter how much maniacal laughter or crazy faces he pulls in certain frames. But disregarding that, the anime was amusing enough and I did enjoy the whole out-psyching process of the second and third games that composed the majority of the watch. The over-the-top expressions, hammy breakdowns and selective realism did unfortunately detract from the verisimilitude of the whole thing, but I sort of expected as much going into a shonen series anyway. |
