IKR? the direction is senseless. While yesx the camera angles of this studio arent for everyone they have proven with shows like K that they can tell a story with them and that they can make cool fights but this is ridiculous.

i have no concrete proof just ALOT of indicators this is total AI slop, maybe one of the 1st tries to make us consume low quality generated content...

I know I am in the minority, I think GoHands did a pretty good job with this. I’m actually quite excited to watch this one now.

The animation in this is very unique and stylistic, and both parts beautiful and kind of like watching a 3D movie without glasses on. Also I can't tell if the hair animation is cool or slightly off.

I liked it once it got into the typical flow of "guy with OP class that everyone else thinks is weak" though. Kind of funny that it seems so obviously good, but I guess the other direct combat classes must be even more 'obviously' good.

im not so sure. the flow is preety seamless in the tumbledryer shots, the issue is mostly direction, as if they're all over the place instead of following an harmonious motion with an objective, thats something animators of a decent studio wouldn't miss.
also wouldn't it require an insane budget to draw all those hairs by hand? it feels rly inconsistent, im not saying its generated but feels AI enhanced at least, like they used it to fill in shots.

For example in the introduction fight of Mc vs Malice she lands on a table in the same floor as he is but the next strike comes from her throwing themselves from the upper level into him.

Now that you mentioned the game engine it does justify the uncanny, almost as if the characters were stickers in a 3d world, but that passes as this is a game after all, but what rly gets on my nerves is, if this was done by hand, nobody reviewed it? because u can point something odd every 20 seconds or so

@GooseHybrid Towards the end of the episode, in the forest, I also got the impression of "watching a 3D movie without glasses on". I suspect it was mostly because of good sound design, but the environmental art (which reminded me of open world RPGs) helped too. And unlike other isekai, I actually felt slightly immersed in the forest setting. Maybe closest previous time this happened was with Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash.

@W3TFT Grimgar had its entire set hand painted... don't compare something so well done to this pile of CGI with blown out lighting.

@ainochar you hate the animation? this is some of the best animation i've seen in ages, I assume they're using CGI/3D for the background scenes, but they're actually really good compared to 5-10 years ago. The camera angles are different for sure but in my opinion they're making it more interesting than the stagnant crap we've been spoon-fed lately. like Iseleve with their powerpoint panning slides lmao
