Even as someone that didn't like season 1 all that much, this season was an absolute banger! Massive improvement overall in terms of story, character development, visuals, etc.

Also the gore went hard this season. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think this show may be giving Genocyber and Violence Jack a run for its money, at least when it comes to how many intestines and organs they can throw at you on screen.

Plus, that Aikawa transformation was straight outta Dead Space! Love it!

4 people we wondered who they are turned out to be same.... Ai after going through magician surgery probably split into Aikawa and Boss(Kai) then somehow turned into Caiman maybe there is even more..? Even the names are well thought. Kai collecting tumors like pokemon how many can he fit in there. I wish an En personalty forcefully pops up too since he got En's tumor lol. It's interesting and full of twists only thing i am worried about is Nikaido learning to use her spell freely and just go to past and fix everything then all we watched goes into drain with a fake happy end. I wonder what was Ai's first tumors ability was. I also wonder if Caiman being a lizard and lizards having regenerative powers is the reason he can regenerate his head, but that would mean he has lizard powers himself and wasn't experimented to begin with so maybe not cuz I believe Ebisu did it. Waiting for S3 I miss Caiman

@Runasius The only thing the absence of negative reviews means is that this anime is so unpopular that no one even cares to pretend to hate it for attention.

It was about time Mushroomhead met his end, and what I liked most about this season was seeing the relationship between the two protagonists progress. Although I know it probably won't change much in future seasons, as is typical in anime.

I don't think I really like anything about this show. I get that mystery shows are supposed to dangle stuff in front of you to keep you following along but it feels like every single episode is just going in circles without ever actually revealing anything in a satisfying way. Even the ending was just a bunch of shit. Two seasons of this and its like "sooo....everyone is just some sort of asshole for no reason?" summarizes what seems to be going on. I'm glad people like this and I'm not a dedicated hater but I don't have any need to watch more of this,

Holy shit Aikawa's transformation and Natsuki being brutally killed by the cross-eyes boss to get her power, what a cliffhanger!!! I can't wait to see the next season now, this S2 was awesome, even better than S1 I would say!

This season was freaking awesome, but this was one of my least favorite episodes of this season, and the main reason is seeing how stupidly dumb Risu's Curse got defeated. I don't know about you guys, but Risu's Curse throwing his weapons only to have his weapons bounce back and stab himself is just stupid, and THAT'S how he lost? that's fucking dumb, and I hated that part. Still, I enjoyed this season more than S1.

Apart from the above criticism, I enjoyed almost everything else, and I loved the comedy in this season. It made me laugh for a good while; I was really into it and got entertained watching it, and I can't wait for S3. I only hope it doesn't take too long; it did take 6 years for S2 to come out, so yeah, I only hope it doesn't take this long to get another season. And I loved Johnson a lot in this season; that cockroach is just freaking hilarious.

This anime is the closest thing to Chainsaw Man in terms of craziness, and I like that, since I love Chainsaw Man too. The girls in this anime do look like ogres, though; their bodies are just way too bulky, but I'm not complaining about this one since this anime simply tried to be different about it. Most other anime will have sexy girls, but this anime said: "fuck that", I'm different, baby, so here, look at this sexy ogre of a chick!

Anyway, it's a pretty damn good anime, and I want more of it! I would have given this season a 10/10, but I hated the way Risu's Curse got defeated in this episode; it was too stupid for my taste, and for that reason alone, I will remove 1 point, and I will end it with a rating of:

GOD DAMN imagine ending season 2 like that and waiting another SIX YEARS for season 3...................

absolutely fucked up visceral ending. We already knew, but there's no more dodging it: our main character is also the lead villain. I think the nightmares Aikawa keeps seeing are similar to Atem's internal mind labyrinth (in Yu-Gi-Oh); his nightmares are basically a Jungian-like prison inside his brain where his alternate personas are lashing out.

I cannot wait to see how this shit unfolds. I CANNOT wait to see the real reunion between Caiman and Nikaido!

This was a hell of a binge. Love the characters -- all of them -- love the setting, love how there's no real good guys or bad guys, just disparate conflicting groups with discordant goals, love how it's a gritty, zany, disgusting urban dark fantasy soft political drama. I don't know if anyone else would see it as a political drama, but IMO a pillar of the tension is effectively a power struggle. Just such a fucking cool show.

Also all the OPs and EDs for both seasons are total bangers.
