would this show be better without the endless recaps and reused shots

I like this anime i don't mind GoHands style but the endless recaps and reused city scene at just too much this could easily be five or six episode shorter than it 25 episode listed for the season

also for light novel reader how will are they adapting this from source

Probably but it's still entertaining as hell, personnally i just skip all the recaps and flashbacks and enjoy my time.

@Paladin23 Story is not that complex so frankly not really lol and in case i usually just skip by 5 to 10 secs for each scenes i don't consider relevant.

The answer is yes, absolutely. Matter of fact I'd gladly take a season with less than 26 episodes if it meant each episode would actually progress instead of retreading the same ground over and over

@HowdyBR same i wonder if gohands got into production issues so the used the recaps and reused shots to padd runtime or this was their plan go back to sailor moon 90s era where they reused and recapped to save money

They probably realized that they wouldn't be able to keep their "extravagant" sequences for 21 minutes every week for 26 weeks so they just decided to use the recaps and city shots to pad the episodes in order to still be able to do their thing, at least that's how i see it

I know this isnt a 7 or above show but with what's out this season and know its not better then the big 5 or 6 I often feel more happy with this anime for some reason. the mid episode replay is very jarring tho. its not that deep a anime to be using a reply its not blue lock

I like this show, and recaps of say 30 sec to 1 min are all right, but I think we can all agree that last week was simply intolerable. We didn’t need a recap of the whole dungeon taking up over 2/5 of airtime.

I’m actually surprised this is a full season vs a cour with the approach they’re taking. Full seasons are scarce as hen’s teeth these days.

@Avamarie316 you're right it why I haven't added to my watch list without the recaps it be a 7 maybe 8 (I like stat slop isekai) but as it stands it a 6 maybe 7 as long as no wild plot twist later in season

I just don’t like how the recaps are like 10 min of the whole episode and so I only have like 12 more minutes of new footage left.

I think it would be. This could've been cut shorter, or more chapters could be adapted. I see no benefit from the repeating shots or unnecessary recaps.

The animation is a bit too much sometimes. Like when they do walking scenes and their hair is overly animated. It is just too distracting. Some of the fight scenes are pretty well made though. That said, I look forward to each episode released. I'm an isekai junkie and this one is very entertaining for me
