The worst character in the show is getting a redemption arc. This annoys me greatly.
| @amf85 Well, her redemption was already set in stone the moment Chen Nan dismissed her warning in the last episode of S2. Her current motivation for killing Chen Nan is to prevent her ruthless Dao heart from getting disturbed any further. Why would it even be disturbed? Simple. Cuz she likes him. So her evil soul influences her to do it. When she didn't want to, it forcibly took over her body to do the job. She herself isn't inherently evil anyway as shown in the previous season and her childhood scenes. It has been going in that direction since early S3. It started from when she got frisky with Chen Nan in the illusion and when they gave hickeys (bite marks) to each other. Everything is to disturb her Dao heart and snap her back to her old self. Chen Nan didn't really plan any of that ofc, despite his claim at the end of S2. It's kinda a plot convenience in that aspect. |
