Again, the novels contain quite a lot more content and detail than the anime does, and the verbal sparring is quite a bit more entertaining in this format as well. The sense of Holo's superiority to Lawrence in wits is made much more clear while Lawrence himself is still feeling out the situation.

Thankfully, enough time has passed that I don't remember how all of these plot developments flow. I'm looking forward to seeing how the deal with Zheren goes.

On another note, potatoes with goat cheese certainly whets one's appetite. I feel hungry now.

I just realised that Holo in the manga is a loli. They certainly drew her different in the anime.

Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.

reading has thus far given me various immersive feelings and primal urges, but more than anything, it has caused me to… like Holo… fiercely desire an apple. it will be a shopping trip for me soon enough.

Seeing Halo and Lawrences first meaningful argument, and this jealously bloom was interesting. The plot - of returning Holo's home really seems to be getting somewhere now, and this feels like a turning point for any romantic feelings.

It kind of upsets me and makes me uneasy that they had this fight, we see how lonely Holo is, and we have a overly enthusiastic guy interested in Holo. I already saw this arc through the newest anime and I found it upsetting. I hope to hear about the details more. If it is the same as the anime then this might show how immature or unperfect Holo is.

So far I feel the anime painted Holo as being more angry towards Lawrence and just given up with life and seeing her homeland again. I thought this was very uncharacterastic before with her being wise, and able to communicate herself. It also makes it think that Holo has a very manipulative side to her. I am looking forward to seeing how differently these are addressed in the light novel.
