Plunging the Depths

There is very little designated space for "anime critics" in the English speaking web. People who are knowledgable and passionate about anime while also desiring to critique it, and understand it. This club exists to bring together people who want to see (and want to create) thoughtful analysis of anime. You do not have to write any reviews to be a part of this club. Any given series can benefit from being looked at psychologically, or philosophically, or politically, or culturally, or theologically, or cinematically. There are countless words worth saying about every piece of animation, or music cue. We are also looking for anyone who wants to bring their knowledge and skills from outside of anime into strengthening their understanding of anime. Whatever you are excited about in a show, whatever your base of knowledge and interest brings to understanding a work, tell us about it!
