DEFINING TERMSSCORE CHANGE: This is the difference in score between any number of weeks. It could be two weeks consecutively following each other, the difference between the ending score and starting score for a show's entire airtime or the score between the last 3 weeks as we do in our score change table below. The aforementioned table does not include the last score change due to an ending boost, further explained in the final score change section.

MSP SCORE: Our custom stat, MSP Score, seeks to define how many times a shows has either risen or fallen. It gets a +1 for every week it rises, 0 for every week it stagnates and a -1 for every week it falls. The percentage (%) is simply this score and the number of possible score change weeks it has i.e everything after its first airing episode week.

MAL SCORE: This is the average score of an anime taken from the scores of all users who have rated it on MyAnimeList, this is sourced from the main page of every anime. The basis of our club all stems from recording this stat and noting how it changes over time, from it we derive all our insights.

BEST WEEKLY SCORE CHANGE: This is a table that tracks the highest score changes from all airing anime of a season each week.

FINAL EPISODE SCORE CHANGE: This is the last score change an anime records during its airtime. We track this as once a show goes from airing to completed, the scores of users who have not watched a certain amount is removed from the calculation which usually gives a show a significant ending boost.

Week 07-08 Updated (Week 09 due tomorrow)

Back to back stagnations for KimiAi, a stagnation for Sayonara Lara and a drop for Toumei Yoru means Futstustsuka Akujo remains the only show with a perfect MSP score going into the last 3rd of the season, meaning it has risen every week without fault, the other mentioned shows have also had stellar seasons overall. However Akujo still retains that top spot on the score change and MSP score tables outright and has pushed into the top 10 for MAL score recently, Tenmaku no Jaadugar remains the highest rated amongst the non sequels, but its score distribution remains inconsistent. Futsutsuka Akujo was also on a 5 week streak of taking the Best Anime of the week award until Bleach stepped in this week and beat it to the punch, Bleach was a late starter but has the 2nd highest MAL score of the season, its now hit back to back impressive rises despite said score. It's also 5 and 6 consecutive rises for Seihantai II and Dara-san, first rise of the season for the new GiTS as well.

Mushoku Tensei and Super Ura Yani maintain their 100% fall rate, Youjo Senki is one stag away from joining them. Re:Zero is yet to see a single rise since its 2nd cour started and Liar Game is yet to see a single fall since its 2nd cour started.

Week 06 Updated.

Around the half way point of the season, trends are forming and a pattern is very much being established. That Futsutsula Akujo dominance is showing no sign of stopping anytime soon, last week's rise was its worst performing week of the season bur was still enough to take the best weekly award, and this week it bounces back again to its usual weekly rise and again easily takes the weekly award, its now 4 times in a row, it also retains top spot on both the score change and MSP tables as well as finally crossing that 8 MAL score mark, an almost clean sweep. Tai-Ari deshita loses its perfect MSP, aside from Akujo, only Toumei Yoru, Sayonara Lara and Kimi Ai remain perfect. Reiwa no Dara-san is now on a 4 consecutive week rise, Seihantai 2 has seen 4 out of 5 rises in its runtime and Jaadugar records its first back to back rises of the season.

Mushoku Tensei, Super Ura and Youjo Senki have dropped every week so far. Re:Zero is still looking for its first rise since this 2nd cour started.

Week 04-05 Updated.

One show is attempting to dominate the whole season and its not necessarily one we were expecting before the season started. Retaining its perfect MSP score with 3 consecutive rises, 3 consecutive anime of the week awards, topping the score change and MSP score tables and also on the cusp of crossing that 8.0 MAL score, its safe to say Futsutsuka Akujo is the best performing show of the season thus far. Along with it KimiAi, Toumei Yoru, Tai-Ari deshita and Sayonara Lara all retain their perfect starts as well. Hanazakari, our previous front runner stagnates and loses all that forward momentum it started with early on. Reiwa no Dara-san is also building some momentum with 3 consecutive rises pushing it to 2nd on the score change table as Seihantai recovers from its previous drop with back to back rises. Jaadugar also gets its first rise since week 2, after some competition from Super Yani its now clearly the highest rated non-sequel show outright, Bleach stagnates on its first attempt and GITS suffers 3 drops in 4 weeks.

Looking at our leftovers, 3 consecutive rises for Liar Game and 4 rises in the last 5 weeks for Slime IV means they are experiencing their best runs since they started airing. However 4 drops in 5 weeks sees Re:Zero IV having its worst run since it started airing.

Week 03 Updated.

Our Score Change and MSP Score tables remain all green for now, though some shows did lose ground and others continued to make gains, still early doors but mostly looking positive.

It's 3 weeks and 3 rises for Hanazakari II and Mujikaku Seijo with the former far ahead of everyone else on that score change table. This week also saw a plethora of shows following up last week's rise with another, the best being Futsutsuka Akujo which takes the weekly award. Seihantai na Kimi to Boku experiences its first ever drop in its franchise, its first season in Winter 26 saw no drops and that continued until this week. Jaadugar couldn't follow last week's big rise with another as it drops very slightly this week. Its 3 drops in a row for Super Ura Yani and Re:Zero IV, its worst form since it started airing. Youjo Senki II falls at the first time of asking.

Week 02 Updated.

A lot of green happening in week 2, even everything on the MSP score table is 100%, don't think that has ever happened before, shows people have a lot of early day optimism for this season, probably the highest we've seen in a while.

Hanazakari, Mujikaku Seijo, Neko to Ryuu and World is Dancing all record back2back rises following last week's good showing with Hanazakari taking the early lead on the score change table. However YaniSuu, Smoking with You posts back to back drops but still holds a strong MAL score, the other smoking show (why so many?), Yani Neko, posts a huge rise on the first time of asking. We also saw a big boost for Jaadugar this week, its now tied with YaniSuu as the highest scored non-sequel show of the season. However its a big drop for Mushoku Tensei amidst all the chaos, Youjo Senki II with a strong mid 8 start. Oome no Victoria takes the Weekly award.

Week 01 Updated.

Summer is here and its off to a bang. Re:Zero maintains its massive MAL score at the top but Mushoku Tensei 3 isn't far off as it starts just below a 9. Grand Blue, Seihantai and 100-nin Kanojo all return for their respective sequels with high MAL scores to boot. As far as the brand new shows are concerned Super YaniSuu reigns on top with a very impressive mid 8 start, Jaadugar with an equally brilliant start and is very comfortably above an 8, these two are the only non sequels breaching the 8 score, which is the norm for most seasons. However there is sizeable number of shows in the mid 7s which could go either way, Shinu made Koi, Toumei Yoru, Me ni Mienai, Sayonara Lara, Nijusseiki Denki, Otome Kaijuu, Neko to Ryuu and World Is Dancing all find themselves from mid 7 to 8. Score Change wise Lv999 murabito with the biggest jump amongst those on the board already by Week 0 and takes the first Weekly Award.

Week 12 Update.

Into the penultimate week of the season and Re:Zero is showing no sign of stopping (it will stop airing for two months though :p) with yet another big boost for its insane MAL score, its knocking at the door of Frieren for that top MAL spot overall, but with its conclusion pushed back it will take a while before we see when it falls in the overall rankings here. It's early season competitor (not anymore, lol), Atelier concludes with a mid 8 score, strong showing fo a new show but struggled with bouts of drops and inconsistencies all through the season. Nippon Sangoku also concludes with a very solid showing, no drops all season and a mid 8 score to conclude as well. Ganbare Nakamura-kun is the only other new show that concludes above an 8, however, Koori Jouheki does seem very much on course to join it, its still our only perfect MSP score show left this season, one more week for it to hold on.

Our extremely low MAL score duo, Daikenja Riddle and Mamonogurashi almost unsurprisingly get colossal boosts on conclusion to save face.

Week 10 Update Complete. (7,8,9 too)

Over the past month, all our perfect MSP score shows lost their streaks one by one as the weeks rolled...except one. That was Koori Jouheki, the last man standing, the only one holding the baton, can it make it to the finish line without dropping it though. Re:Zero 4 broke above the 9 MAL score mark this week, making it the highest rated Re:Zero season in the franchise to date, it's score change and MSP score are no slouches either. Witch Hat Atelier which was its closest MAL score contender has fallen by the wayside a bit, its on a 5 week dropping streak but still retains a very high MAL score.

While their MSPs are not perfect, the likes of Kamiina Botan, Megami Isekai Tensei and Nippon Sangoku are yet to suffer any drops this season. Rent-a-Girlfriend and Liar Game had been falling all season but they both stop the rot this week. MarriageToxin with the very rare but satisfying distribution of 3 consecutive rises, 3 consecutive drops and 3 consecutive stagnations. A plethora of shows tie for the weekly award, check the fine print.
