Prism Rondo

There is a shared melancholy between these two shows and a theme of love had and of love lost. Both are beautifully drawn with a wonderful soundtrack. The male leads are very similar when it comes to how their feelings are expressed (or lack of). I will say Prisim does have a more joyous and hopeful beginning, but it does twist in the emotional knife with the historic time period.  

Both Prism Rondo and Haikara-san ga Tooru focus on strong, independent female leads navigating romance during times of social change. They share a classic shōjo tone, emotional storytelling, and coming-of-age themes centered on love, growth, and choosing one’s own path. 

• Both are coming of age romance anime set in late 19th century/early 20th century England. • Both the series explore the idea of forbidden love story of an noble aristocrat and a commoner.  

Both anime deeply affect you. While watching, you feel excitement and hope, yet at the same time your heart aches. Both of them have such touching stories that made me cry — they surpass all other anime for me. 

These anime are very similar in their emotional impact. They feature highly talented protagonists in their respective artistic fields, with seemingly impossible romantic interests. The initial atmosphere is charming, but the characters' pasts are revealed later on. In essence, they are very similar, but they convey different messages to their audiences.

Both shows expand plot beyond just romance 

Both are about an artist finding themselves in the art they make. Prism Rondo is a romance with an historical setting while Blue Period is more of a coming of age story set in modern day, buh they gave me both the same feeling: They are love letters to art and how passion impacts how lives. 

Both have similar settings, both portray the love story between a Japanese and an English person and not to mention, the ending for both feels kinda the same. How much more similarity could you ask for? 

• Yoko Kamio is the original creator of both the series so obviously you will find lot of similarities in it's storytelling and overall character dynamic. • Both the series explore the idea of forbidden love story of an noble aristocrat and a commoner.  

These two Anime give me the same vibe. Coming of age, period pieces with beautiful art and both are heavily evolved around the creative interests of the main characters. Watching Prism Rondo instantly gave me the same slice-of-life feeling that i loved about Sakamichi no Appollon. the beautiful art, light indie feeling to the art the music and story line. loved them both so much! 

both female leads are ambitious and same setting 

Beautiful story and sceneries from late 19's/early 20's Art is also predominant in this anime, but a different type of art (dance, singing, etc.) The male leads are both aristocrats who doesn't care about their title 

Both have the male protagonist who gets missing during the war 

The art style is pretty similar and the characters in both anime are young adults, close in age. Both stories center around an innocent young girl, learning and growing up and a quiet guy protecting and helping them secretly from the shadows. In both series the friends become a second family to the main character and play a huge role in their everyday lives. While Prism Rondo is set in a XX. century London and feels like a school anime, Kaizoku Oujo feels a bit more like a fairytale with magical elements and the lives of ninja pirates. 

This is about two young women from completely different background who bond over their shared love for creating original music in an world of AI dominant music. This is about expressing your authentic self through music rather than art. Although this anime has no romance, one of the main characters is a runaway from a wealthy family to pursue her passion in music, which reminds me of Kit.
