Kirei ni Shitemoraemasu ka.

In the quaint seaside resort town of Atami lies Kinme Cleaning, a laundry service run by Wakana Kinme. Despite having no memory of her life before moving there, Wakana has spent the past two years quietly building a new life among the locals. She tends to garments entrusted to her with gentle hands and meticulous care, each carrying memories far more fragile than the fabric itself.

Wakana becomes a familiar presence in the town as she shares small yet precious moments with everyone. The clothing she cleans tells stories of their owners' everyday lives, allowing her to safeguard their memories even as her own remain out of reach. As she continues to wash away stains both physical and psychological, her life becomes a gentle testament to the comfort found in ordinary moments—and to the idea that even without a past, she can still belong.

As usual, a truly good anime is embodied with some professional real world knowledge, This time, a rather uncommon and surprising theme of clothes cleaning. With good art and relaxing music quality, there is no reason why I would not rate this anime with a high score.

I enjoyed watching the anime while learning some small things about clothes maintenance, which helps me appreciate the work professional cleaning stores are doing.

But the storyline doesn't seem to have ended yet. I would love to watch second season if there is one. Completing the plot in a nice way would make it a true masterpiece.

Mixed Feelings

Personal Opinion
As someone who has read the manga before, if it weren't for the incredibly bland animation, I would have expected to see Kinme's process of cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, and fixing the clothes. Instead, I was met with PowerPoint slides and minimal animation, which greatly diminished the story's charm.

However, the core theme "Kinme's service in preserving the clothes of people filled with memories" is presented clearly and effectively, even if it's a bit too faithful to the original (with only a few scene rearrangements and some scenes cut) It's still arranged logically and aligns with the main storyline. Credit must go to the scriptwriter, they ... truly carried the show.

And most importantly, for those watching without reading the manga: A Little Bit of Spoil
Kinme, the protagonist in the manga Original, doesn't date minors and doesn't have a romantic relationship with Kyusho. So, there's no need to worry about the moral compass of viewers, especially white people, being tarnished while watching this. Rest assured.

This is yet another anime where the author didn't want to commit to anything. No matter what you go into this one expecting to find, I think you'll be disappointed in not really getting it. It's got too much fanservice and romantic subplot stuff if you just want a relaxing Slice of Life, but if you want romance, it doesn't execute it well or deliver anything. It's honestly a real problem in anime like this where they try to make it for as many audiences as possible, and want to drag it out for as long as possible so they can sell more volumes/issues/seasons. There ... is simultaneously too much and not enough of each element, depending on what you're looking for, that it's hard to say who would finish this and find themselves truly satisfied. If it had just committed to one thing; cur the romance and just make it a comfortable SoL, or actually deliver on romantic progress and make that a clear point of the plot, I think it would have at least satisfied one group or another. But I can't really see this satisfying anyone, except maybe the people who are still into exactly this sort of outdated Heisei era 'almost romance' that was so overwhelming a decade or two ago. All tease and buildup, no payoff, no resolution, no progress, no character evolution or growth, etc. Just an endless stream of disconnected 'aww that's cute they almost...' set pieces that don't go anywhere.
