Sakamoto Days

-both anime revolves around the father figure who is/was one of the most well-known, killers in the industry they work for -both main father figures hid their past from their loved ones, -both action/comedy and fun series to watch -the main character has a best friend who follows and works with them as a team 

The series follows a former mafia hitman who left his violent past behind after falling in love and choosing a life as an ordinary citizen. While his old gang resented their departure, they now believe that the MC has become weak. That is however far from the truth. Both MC are still formidable and instead of using their strength in the mafia, they use it to protect their family and community to live a quiet, humble life.  

-both main characters look harmless and ordinary but are incredibly strong and dangerous. Both men are humble and people underestimate them now. -comedy-driven action anime  

Former feared and professional assassins who have made oaths never to kill again and have to deal with the ghosts of their pasts while struggling to live a life of peace, Sakamoto runs a convenience store with his wife Aoi whereas, after wandering for long, Kenshin learns to settle in a dojo with its owner, Kaoru. Rurouni Kenshin is set in the late 1800s with more swordplay. In contrast, Sakamoto Days has a modern setting with gunplay and more comedy. 

Both series are about spy organizations with bodily superpowers while still feel grounded and realistic , not overly gritty, has plenty of combat Even if the premises are different  

If Sakamoto Days and The World God Only Knows had a chaotic action-romance baby, it would be Marriagetoxin. Imagine the high-octane, incredibly creative assassin fights of Sakamoto Days mixed with the systematic, arc-by-arc "girl capturing" dynamic of TWGOK (complete with a marriage coach!). It’s a harem-adjacent battle anime where the action goes incredibly hard, the comedy lands perfectly, and the romance is surprisingly wholesome. A must-watch! 

Renown hitmen live their normal-seeming lives in these action comedies whilst also taking care of their child, main difference in that the circumstances for this is different where BD has two guys (not in a relationship) look after a child after the events of a mission whereas SD the child is actually the hitman's daughter and is married to his wife, both children also voice acted by Kino Hina too. The hitmen in both shows are chased after by the assassin's group they were with and overcome obstacles to protect their normal lives. Main difference too is that BD has the child as a main focus of the series but in SD the child is there, just not the story's main plot and also SD introduces other characters not part of the family into the main casting. read more 

The MC on Ginatama is a former Samurai, while Sakamoto is a former hitman. They left their lives in pursuit of peace and happiness. This comedy-action anime is very fun. 

- MCs focused on activities outside the criminal underworld. In Sakamoto Days, he focuses on taking care of his family and running his shop. In Karaoke Iko!, although he remains in the criminal underworld, he wants to learn how to sing. - Both protect the people who matter most to them. - Criminal organizations. 

Finding another series where genre shifts and balances between Action and Slice of Life with the Action mostly focusing on guns and assassinations? Both of these fits the catagory. 

- MCs have to take care of children and/or their families. - Criminal organizations. 

Both feature a legendary hitman that have to change their ways to fit into normal life. Both MCs adopt a protector role. 

Sakamoto days feels like it's remixing and answering a lot of what Reborn was about. Reborn is a lot longer, but hear me out. There's several parallels between KHR characters and the various hitmen who show up. Mainly members of the Varia and the Order, as well as the characters introduced towards the end of the first season. The plot feels like Reborn in reverse? Cute mascot genius hitman pulls a guy out of a life of crime vs pulling him in to one. Shin and Tsuna also both feel like extremely empathetic protagonists who care about their family more than anything else despite their fears. Family is also a concept that comes up a lot in both, though in different ways... And the action is def better in Sakamoto, but in a way that feels like a refinement of what's going on in Reborn. I've tried to write this with as few spoilers as possible! But if I wasn't, I'd probably be able to get more into detail and gush about how Sakamoto feels like it's doing for reborn what BNHA was to like Naruto in it's early days. It keeps making me feel nostalgic and like it was tailored towards fans of reborn who grew out of the usual shonen. read more 

-Both feature a main character who is billed up as a skilled legendary figure with a huge bounty on there heads -Legendary figure is determined to put his past actions behind him and lead as pacifist a life as possible -The other MCs go on adventures with the legendary figure while trying to avoid those trying to claim the bounty -Comic hijinxs and good action set pieces abound -Both have a good amount of blood and violence despite the comedy (Counting SD part 2) Both had an extended episode runt of 20+ Trigun takes a sudden dramatic turn to a serious drama halfway through and isn't as wacky as SD is throughout read more 

fighting scenes were great, you wanna keep looking forward every episode lots of new enemies get introduced amazing music 

- both about hitmen that begin living ordinary lives - male MC’s lives are shaped for the better by the women in their lives - comedic over the top expressions cut through in-between the stoicness of both male MCs - both main characters are the best in the field and each episode shows off their incredible skills without truly killing their targets.  

-gangsters with a high reputation for being badass and a gang member. they left their life behind to start a new, peaceful quiet life. They try to become a better person by helping out the community. Both hilarious  

While it's obvious that the title sound a bit similar, "Sakamoto desu ga?" and "Sakamoto Days" actually shares some things in common too. 1. As the title say, they both featured a main character whose name is "Sakamoto". Both Sakamoto are no ordinary people. Sakamoto from "Sakamoto desu ga?" is known for his cool appearance, attitude, and everything he does is just so cool. He's the coolest person ever known. Meanwhile, Taro Sakamoto from "Sakamoto Days" is an ex-hitman. Even though he's already retired, he's still very strong. One of the most powerful hitmen ever known. The reactions they get from others are also similar. People who don't know him: "Lmao he looks weak AF, I think I can handle him" People who know him: "Eeeeeeeh.... isn't that the famous SAKAMOTO???" 2. The way both Sakamoto handle every situations they face are pretty unique and refreshing. They can use daily objects as weapon or as substitute of more complex objects. 3. They both have good amount of comedy. So if you're into it, you might enjoy both of them. read more 

Both are action-comedy series with a cast of eccentric characters, lead by an overpowered MC. Although Sakamoto Days has more fights and Mashle's humour could be more absurd, both series share the lighthearted tone and how they don't take themselves seriosly, making them a very easy watch - great to enjoy when you just need a casual watch for a laid-back time that doesn't need deep thinking. 

Both feature tough protagonists. They try to better the community. They both mix action, comedy, and slice of life elements. They have a unique art style and character design. The difference is, Yamaguchi is a Yakuza member, and she's still in the mafia. Sakamoto was an ex hitman that retired. Yamaguchi became a teacher while Sakamoto became a married shopkeeper with a kid. Still, the vibes are pretty similar.  

Comedy anime with an invincible, reserved protagonist trying to get through his regular day to day life. Need I say more?
